2.1- Partnership composition and contribution
The consortium responsible for this project was composed by:
-
80 European universities from Western and Eastern Europe
-
Bogazici University, Istanbul - Turkey,
-
1 European association EAEEIE
-
an enterprise Giunti Interactive Labs S.r.l from Genoa, Italy
A total of 85 institutions were involved. This Thematic Network was co-ordinated by Instituto Superior Tecnico, the School of Engineering of the Technical University of Lisbon, Portugal.
Most of the members had some previous experience in the management of international projects, and participated in two previous Thematic Network INEIT-MUCON (Contract nº TNP-26173-CP-1-96(2-97.3-98)-1-FR-ERASMUS-ETN) ; (TNP-26173-CP-1-99-FR-ERASMUS-ETN) and THEIERE ( Contract nº 10063-CP-1-PT-ERASMUS-ETNE) with very positive results.
The different partners in this consortium were well balanced. All the participants had the required competencies to execute the program of activities of the project successfully and had worked together previously for a period of at least 3 years, during a previous Thematic Network projectINEIT-MUCON.
As professors and members of engineering departments they had the technical skills necessary to translate, evaluate and implement the modules. As professors they had the pedagogical competence to design courses, discuss their content, and choose the best practices in the teaching of Electrical and Information Engineering (EIE).
