A reflection and a survey concerning the different existing European curricula were performed in order to prepare a common model curriculum in EIE, i.e., in each of the specialities usually associated with this designation, namely: control and robotics, telecommunications, electronics, computer science, power systems, compatible with ECTS or ECAS and the Bologna-BMD scheme ( a CD _ROM with a electronic version of this common curricula is included with the proposal).
The work developed in the Thematic Network has lead to the writing of a monograph, completed in the end of August 2003, on the teaching of EIE in Europe,and evolution of educational systems in EIE, in each country to the B-M-D system recommended by the Bologna document (a CD ROM with a electronic version of the monography is included with the proposal).
