7. Partnership composition and contribution
7.1 Provide for the co-ordinating institution and each of the other institutions participating in the dissemination project, the following information:
-
type of institution, main areas and types of activity;
-
size of the institution in terms of the total number of (a) personnel (absolute numbers and full-time equivalents) and (b) learners;
-
expertise of the institution in the field covered by the project and experience in co-operation at local, regional, national and trans-national level (Socrates and other). Indicate experience both in content and project organisation.
-
Indicate for each activity within the project, the specific tasks to be assigned to the partner institution responsible, the other partner institutions involved, the number and the profile of personnel from within and outside the partnership to be involved in the project.
The consortium responsible for this project is composed by:
86 European universities from Western and Eastern Europe
University of Tangiers, Morocco.
1 European association EAEEIE
an enterprise Giunti Interactive Labs S.r.l from Genoa, Italy
According to the evaluators of the pre-proposal report we have included additional partners from Turkey, Sweden and Cyprus. Three new partners from Portugal ( Academia Militar, Uninova and ISEL), two new partner s from France (Institut Supérieur des Techniques Avancées de Saint-Etienne, and Université du Mans) and the Fraunhofer Institute from Germany joined the network.
A total of 88 institutions are involved
This Thematic Network will be co-ordinated by Instituto Superior Tecnico, the School of Engineering of the Technical University of Lisbon, Portugal.
Most of the members have some previous experience in the management of international projects, and participated in two previous Thematic Network INEIT-MUCON (Contract nº TNP-26173-CP-1-96(2-97.3-98)-1-FR-ERASMUS-ETN) ; (TNP-26173-CP-1-99-FR-ERASMUS-ETN) and THEIERE ( Contract nº 10063-CP-1-PT-ERASMUS-ETNE) with very positive results.
The different partners in this consortium are well balanced. All the participants have the required competencies to execute the program of activities of the project successfully and have worked together previously for a period of at least 3 years, during a previous Thematic Network project THEIERE.
As professors and members of engineering departments they have the technical skills necessary to translate, evaluate and implement the modules.
As professors they have the pedagogical competence to design courses, discuss their content, and choose the best practices in the teaching of Electrical and Information Engineering (EIE).
