8. Problems and perspectives of memory research in cognitive psychology
Discrete and continuous approach. Problems and prospects of memory research in cognitive psychology. The problem of memory as a core of cognitive psychology. General description of the memory system. Differences between automatic and control processes.
Memory: encoding and storage. Short-term memory (SHM). Repetition and RAM. Encoding of information in QMX. Long-term memory - diffusion of activity, long-term availability and the law of gradation. Excellent long-term memory. Factors affecting recall. Complex processing, method of text memorization, comparison of meaningful versus meaningless recall and target recall, photographic recall and effects, neural correlates of encoding.
Memory: storage and retrieval. Storage functions. Impedance effects – the glove effect, interference and vibration, interference and redundant information. Autobiographical reminiscence. Material utility and inference - analogical recall, memory errors, and witness performance. Associative structure recall is the unity of materials and the way of remembering and placing them. Hippocampal formation and amnesia. Implicit and explicit memory. Mnemonics (mnemonic system, mnemonists, skill).
Memory: Theory and Neurocognitology. Neurocognition of memory. The role of memory in cognition. Memory models - model of N. Vo and D. Norman, model of R. Atkinson and R. Shifrin, level of recall, episodic and semantic memory, D. Connectionist memory model of Rumelhart and D. McClelland.

9. Main directions of thinking research
Thinking: Main directions and results in cognitive psychology. Determinant. Problem solving and procedural knowledge. Problem Solving Operators. Operator selection: reduced difference method, Hanoy square problem, time and objective analysis. Representation of the problem. Types of representation.
Thinking: decision making and problem solving. Concept formation, association, hypothesis testing, logic, inference and deductive reasoning, formal thinking, decision making, inductive reasoning, probability estimation. T. Bayes theorem and decision making. Problem solving, creativity and human intelligence. Gestalt-psychology and the table solution. Representation of issues. Internal representation and problem solving. Creative process. Creativity and functional stability. Human intelligence. Cognitive theory of intelligence.
Problem history. Computers and artificial intelligence, "imitation" game, "Chinese room", perception and artificial intelligence, recognition of lines, patterns, complex shapes. Language and artificial intelligence.
