Le projet SATREPS : « Établissement d'une plateforme de conservation de l’environnement du Lac Tonlé Sap »









      1. Introduction


À titre de rappel, ce projet est primordial pour le développement de l’économie de la nation et en particulier l’agriculture et la pêche. Ce lac d’eau douce s'étend sur 2.500 km2 en saison sèche et 10.000 km2 en saison des pluies. Il est entouré de 5 provinces à savoir Kampong Chhnang, Kampong Thom, Pursat, Battembang et Siem Reap. Il est connu comme une réserve écologique très importante : 1) Industrie (ressource en eau, tourisme, transportation), 2) Environnement (purification, biosphère, climat), 3) Culture (littérature, légende, fêtes) et 4) vie humaine (eau de vie, esprit humain et communication). Il est à noter que ce lac peut absorber 20% des eaux du Mékong durant la période de la saison des pluies. Il permet d'ajuster le niveau des eaux du Mékong au Cambodge et dans le Delta au Vietnam. Ce lac est reconnu par des chercheurs comme le cœur du Mékong (Campbell et al., 2009). Pour le moment, le problème de la pollution s’aggrave de jour en jour (nombreuses maisons flottantes, érosion, augmentation des activités agricoles, manque de gestion générale du lac). De part la richesse des espèces aquatiques et sa biodiversité, l’UNESCO a considéré ce grand bassin naturel comme une des réserves cruciales du monde.

      1. Objectifs:


Développement des outils scientifiques de l’environnement de l’eau du lac Tonlé Sap (Promotion des Sciences et Ingénierie)

  • Quantifier des impacts environnementaux du lac de Tonlé Sap dans la région;

  • Quantifier des impacts globaux du changement climatique dans la région;

  • Soutenir la mise en place de normes de qualité environnementale

  • Soutenir la mise en place de normes sur les effluents

Création du Centre Environnemental du Tonlé Sap à l’ITC:

  • Collaboration avec Office national de la province (NPO), ONG et universités ;

  • Centre d’information (centre des données pour la recherche) ;

  • Centre d’information de l’environnement et de coopération internationale ;

  • Participation active à l’éducation environnementale.

  • Composante IV: Pathogène et Phytoplankton

  • Composante VI: Analyse des risques

  • Composante VII: Implémentation sociale

Ce projet nécessite la participation des chercheurs et des personnels de certains ministères.
Cambodge : 43 membres

  • ITC : 20 chercheurs (11 docteurs, 9 master) et 15 autres étudiants de master;

  • Université de Phnom Penh: 3 (1 docteur, and 2 master) ;

  • Ministère de l’Éducation, de la Jeunesse et des Sports : 1 personne;

  • Ministère de l’Environnement: 2 personnes ;

  • Ministère des ressources en eau et de météorologie : 2 personnes ;

Japon : 31 membres (TIT, Ishikawa Prefectural University, Toyama Prefectural University, Shimane University, University of Tokyo, Yamagata University, Institute for Global Environnement Strategies).

  • 2 projets "Greening SMEs" en collaboration Asia Society for Social Improvement and Sustainable Transformation et "Energy-Smart Agri MSMEs in Cambodia" en collaboration avec United Nation for Develpment Program (Cambodia) dans le cardre de soutien le SMEs cambodgien ont été soumis à SWITCH ASIA Found.

  • Le projet "Development of Try Chak Cambodia" de chercheur de GIM ont été soumis à un sector privé de General Director of Ly Brothers Limited

  • Les projets "Application of Solar Energy System for Improving Water Management and Climate Change Adaption in Rice Farming", en collaboration avec CDRI ont été soumis à Lancang-Mekong Cooperation Special Fund.

  • Le projet "Inspirational, Enthusiastic and Sustainable Approaches for Advancing STEM in Cambodia", a été soumis en 03 March 2017 à Global Britain Fund dans le cadre de promouvoir le STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math)

  • Le projet "Repairing and Strengthening of Concrete Structural Elements Using Fibrwrap®" de chercheur de GCI ont été soumis à un sector privé singapourien de Fyfe Asia Pte Ltd.
