Applicability Of Process Control Charts In Gas Fixtures Production
To ensure the quality and to monitor of consistency in business, today's most widely used method is statistical control techniques. For that, process control techniques must be unterstood and implemented very well.
In this study, the usage of control diagrams are described particularly in statistical process control techniques in gas fixtures production. It is determined which control diagram should be used according to results of the measurements obtained in one month period. Usage of Cusum control diagram, that is developed alternatively to the Shewhart process control diagrams and that is used in the case of not obtaining good results from Shewhart process control diagrams, is the basis of this study.
In the first part of this study, statistical process control and statistical control diagrams with the concept of variation were described. The second and third sections contains information about Shewhart, Cusum and Ewma process control diagrams. In the fourth part, the process capability analysis issues are discussed. In the fifth chapter, it was investigated that whether the process of the gas fixtures production is under control or not via statistical process control techniques called histogram, MR-IX and Cusum process control diagrams . It was evaluated which of these techniques should be used by comparing the results of implementation, in the last section.
