Electrical and electronic products which has very crucial place in our life when completing the economic or the technologic service life create an “Electronic Waste” problem needed to be solved. Solution for this problem is only possible by creating an efficient “Waste Management Strategy”.
This study, provides information at global level about the amount of electronic waste increasing every day, actually what they are and what are the types? On the other hand; handles with the possible environmental effects and the aspects of health harm that can be occurred if there is an absence of efficient management. All details of the International and National legislation regarding the subject has been examined beside to be able minimize the damage of electronic waste and also stressed on what could be done to get benefit from the some aspects of it. Various comparisons, advantages and the disadvantages has been also evaluated by giving practical applications regarding “Electronic Waste Management”. As a consequence, what kind of a waste management strategy must be determined within the national and international legal framework particularly in Turkey with dynamics of the Turkish Society that has been defined with the technical visits to stakeholders, literature reviews and one public poll.
