The Effects of Organ Movements on Radiotherapy Doses Radiotherapy aims the desired dose of the target volume with high accuracy, while preserving the maximum level of critical tissues. Therefore, the movement can cause an instant variation on the target volumes. The higher dose on the radiotherapy target volume has a significant effect on the success of the treatment accuracy especially during the irradiation of moving organs such as lung and prostate, As a result of organ movements, portions of large amounts of the target volume may enter into the field of treatment consistently. During this body movements, sometimes the target volume can not take the planned dose or can take dose more than planned. This situation prevents the homogeneous irradiation. Therefore, body movements have to be taken into account during the planning of the dosage. In addition to dosage planning, selection of the angles of the irradiation and the treatment modality should be done carefully The main goal of radiotherapy which is giving the maximum dose to the target volume will be possible by means of this way during preserving the critical organs.
