Controlling an Active Suspension System Having Two Degrees of Freedom
In this study, improving riding comfort and preventing discomfort caused by any external disturbances from road bumps, potholes, road roughness etc. during the passengers traveling in vehicles are aimed. During this action, it is targeted to keep the values of vertical displacement and acceleration of vehicle body which is transmitted via the suspension as low as possible. In this study the dynamic behavior of the suspension system and the vehicle body that represent the actual vehicle will be investigated and developed on a test rig and the results obtained by the active controller will be discussed. The reduction of vehicle vibrations and improvement of passenger comfort will be examined by the study on the experimental setup.
