HEC Project Tunnel Çağlayan Regulator and HEC Project, located in the district of Çüngüş, Diyarbakır and located on Ulu River (Çağlayan I Regulator) and Erikli River (Çağlayan II Regulator). Karakaya Dam stands at the river mouth of the project. The Project is supposed to be completed within two years. Water from Çağlayan I Regulator will get through the conveyance channel. The length of the channel is 873,58 m. Water following Conveyance Channel I will reach to the conveyance tunnel. The section of the tunnel is shaped like a horseshoe. The length of the tunnel is 1.967,09 m and the diameter of the excavation of 4,00 m and finally the inner diameter is 3,80 m. This thesis aims the examination of excavation and support methods that will be conducted in the tunnel that has lenght 1.967,09 m, for the Çağlayan I Regulator and HEC Project in terms of implementation and cost; the implementation of excavation and support methods in accordence with the chosen ground, the evaluation of datum statistically, and ultimately the rehersal of precautions taken during the implementation to ensure a safe operation.
