Productıon of Nıckel-Tio2 Composıte Coatıngs by Electrochemıcal
Method and Theır Characterızatıon
In this study, pure Ni and Ni/TiO2 composite coatings were produced on copper plates from Watts type nickel bath by using electrochemical technique. Production of coatings pulse current (PC) were used. Produced coatings, the effect of pulse current parameters such as duty cycle, frequency on coating properties were investigated.
Investigated electrodeposition conditions and their values in the experimental stages are given below:
-
Concentration of TiO2 : 20 gL-1
-
pH value of electrolyte : 4.0±0.1
-
Temperature : 55±1 °C
-
Peak current density : 10 Adm-2
-
Stirring speed : 175 rpm
-
Plating time : 60 minute
-
Duty cycle : %10, %30, %50, %70
-
Pulse frequency : 1, 10, 100 Hz
Corrosion properties of coatings were determined by Tafel Polarization and Electrochemical İmpedance Spectroscopy (EIS) techniques. Coatings the immersion time of 0.5 M NaCl in solution the effect of corrosion parameters investigated by Tafel Polarization and EIS techniques. Except for corrosion properties of the coatings, chemical composition, microstructure, phase analysis, crystal structure and hardness properties of coatings were investigated by XRD, SEM-EDS and microhardness analysis.
