Kuzey Ege Derin Deniz (500 – 1500 M) Decapod (Crustacea)
Popülasyonu Üzerine Araştırmalar
Ege denizi bölgesel konumu, jeomorfolojik yapısı, hidrografik ve ekolojik özellikleri açısından Akdeniz ekosisteminde özel bir yere sahiptir. Bu özel alt ekosistemde yer alan Kuzey Ege’nin biyolojik çeşitliliğin ortaya çıkarılmasına yönelik çalışmalar istenilen düzeyde olmayıp Akdeniz’in az çalışılan kısımlarından biridir.
Research Studıes On Decapod (Crustacea) Assemblages In The Deep North Aegean Sea (500-1500m)
The Aegean Sea comprises an important part of the Mediterranean ecosystem, due to its geographical location, geomorphological structure and hydrographical and ecological characteristic. Studies about exposing biodiversity of North Aegean Sea located this special sub-ecosystem were not sufficient, North Aegean Sea is one of the least studied part of The Mediterranean Sea.
The aim of this study is to determine decapoda crustacea species in North Aegean deep-sea and to gather biological information and distiribution on the species.
Decapod crustaceans were obtained at 32 stations in the North Aegean trough located between 500-1500 m. by using baited trap seasonally.
A total of 23 species belonging to decapoda order were determined. Two of these species (Pandalina profundo and Gennadas elegans) are new record for the Aegean sea of Turkish coast, Monodaeus guinotae and Odontozona minoica are new to Turkish Decapod fauna and Acanthephyra (cf) purpurea is new record for the Eastern Mediterranean Sea.
Shannon-Wiener index achieved the maximum values (2,136) between 800 – 1000 m. depths contours. The maximum number of species (22 species) was observed in 600 – 800 m depth contours. it was determined similarity between regions and depths by using
MDS (multidimensional scaling) and Bray-Curtis similarity index. According to the results fauna began to change after 1000 m depth was identified
Bioecology and biodiversity studies in this areas will contribute our country fishing.
