My topic is the analysis of gastronomy based festivals and street food formantion in North Cyprus.My purpose in choosing this topic is to transfer the local tastes and street flavours of North Cyprus to future generations by researching and analyzing them correctly.Today in North Cyprus many festivals are not held due to the effect Covid 19.For this reason our cultere has remained in the background and has reacted the stage of oblivion therefore the new generation has begun to emulate the tastes and cultures of different countries.For this reason i will focus on this subject and i will do my analysis and research convey our culture and gastronomy based festivals to you correctly.
ABSTRACT
The purpose of my selection of this study is to introduce the local foods in the gastronomy-based festivals in Cyprus and explain how these local foods are produced. In North Cyprus How the local foods, which have been produced and sold on the streets since the past, have survived until today and to examine the making of these products. We will examine how local food has become our cultural heritage and its contribution to tourism through festivals. As a result of the research I have done, there are many studies on this subject. However, the subject that is intended to be taken as basis in this study is the correct transfer of local delicacies to tourism through festivals. The consumption of these traditional foods produced in the food festivals held in Northern Cyprus is also important for us. Our delicacies that are not transferred correctly, damage our cultural heritage and Transferring our own foods to tourism in a different way harms our unique tastes. When we consider our current festivals, the foods of different cultures brought by our age under the influence of capitalism, the sale of packaged foods and a decrease in local foods are observed. Thanks to these festivals, tourists Apart from the different tastes of the tourists, they also get to know the tastes of the regions as well as the experiences of the segments. Another important point is that these foods can be passed on to future generations.It is also important for us not to be forgotten as it should be known.And this Festivals contribute to the region socially and economically. street food culture, as an element in the development of gastronomic tourism
