I found very little difference in the tracking technique of the Aborigines in Australia to that of our Indian Trackers (" Khojis "), especially over soft ground, like dusty and
sandy surfaces. The observations and subsequent deductions are more or less on the same lines. But, as I have already said that the Aborigines have perfected their techniques of tracking over hard, rocky surfaces and over thick vegetation and grassy surfaces, I will deal with these matters rather than the preliminary techniques which are explained in the book, " The Art of Tracking ".
