Mary Omosa

Specialisation: Development Studies (Rural Livelihoods)


Dr. Mary Omosa is an accomplished researcher. She runs several research programmes and projects and has published widely on rural livelihoods focusing mainly on food security; rural poverty; information communication technology, and popular participation. She is engaged in the graduate teaching and training programme at the IDS and she holds a number of departmental and university-wide administrative responsibilities, including the UNESCO/UNITWIN Chair. She is widely travelled and has served as a resource person and consulted for several national and international organisations in the field of development studies. She is married with two children.
