Book Manuscripts in preparation
Managing Lean Production: Theories and Models. This will be a book focused on the five diverse models of lean production, and how it is implemented in different industries. (second author with Darina Lepadatu, Kennesaw State University). Contract signed June 2017 with Routledge Press. Publication expected in 2019 or early 2020.
A Synthetic Theory of Political Sociology. This will be my career statement of political sociology that will synthesize Weberian and social exchange theories of negotiation between the state, business, labor and social movements and the media. It will integrate bargaining theory into an institutional approach to politics with a level of sensitivity to identities unique to this area. Papers presaging this approach have been presented at ASA and the SSS over the last four years. This is a long term project that will have a first draft in 2017.
Diversity at Kaizen Motors. Darina Lepadatu and I are negotiating for a translation of this book into Japanese.
