You don't have to put on that red light The world levelling again, Jamie pulled her back as he bent his knees, and she raised her leg, kicking out her heel, before she was on her own two feet again and being flung forward into Harry, throwing her arms around him as he lifted her up into the air, one leg straight against his and the other rested against his hip. Walk the streets for money
You don't care if it's wrong or if it is right Sharon rushed her shivering hand down his cheek as he lowered her to the floor and stole up her hands, forcing her down into an arc. Roxanne
You don't have to wear that dress tonight Harry pushed out against her arm and surrendered her into Flynn's waiting arms. She span round immediately without encouragement wanting to admire his handsome face. A smile flickered at the edge of his mouth in the second before, his hands around her hips, he lifted Sharon into the air. Her spine seemed to curve automatically as she savoured the rush of air licking at her prickling skin. Roxanne
You don't have to sell your body to the night. Her heel clicking defiantly against the floor, she span round and finally saw Dennis looking over at her, that little half-smile set into a definite scowl which made her heart pound happily. She was aware of Flynn's hands working across her stomach, his fingers splaying into her pelvis as Guy crept towards her with a definite swagger. He kicked Sharon's legs apart, and she bit down on her lip as she just waited, looking pointedly over at Dennis before she refocussed her attentions, having to suppress a moan as Guy slid down her frame, to bended knee in front of her. Leaning against Flynn, he caught her wrists, and she threw her head to the side, wincing as she felt him force her down onto Guy's knee. Before she was sat fully against him, she broke off from Flynn's force and lifted her leg over Guy's knee, hitting the floor and spinning round. Guy was suddenly on his feet, snatching up her hand and lifting it against his into a pose before she span against him, feeling him sway her as he nestled into her, his warm lips brushing her shoulder. Sharon's eyes were meant to close, she was meant to be enjoying the sensuality of this movement - the fact that everyone had moved back in stunned silence to clear the floor and admire them all. But she couldn't, because she was here, doing this, purely for Dennis' reaction. And finally she had one. He'd slipped out from behind the bar and was skulking around the outskirts of the room like some sort of predator, his eyes dark and yet still sparkling with something she could not decipher. In this moment, she hated him. But still, she wanted him, and prayed he would come closer. His eyes upon your face, his hand upon your hand
His lips caress your skin - it's more than I can stand!
Straightening her arm, she felt Flynn step up behind her, his hands against her hips, the rolling of his hips forcing her to stride forward. She lifted her arm, wanting to reach back and curl it around his neck, but he snatched at her wrist, squeezing it painfully tight as he ripped it away and span her round to a half turn, so she faced away from him. She sucked in a breath as she steadied herself, striding across the floor and meeting Jamie's eye again. Why does my heart cry?
(Roxanne!)
Feelings I can't fight... But what she couldn't see was Dennis pushing his way through the by-standers. OK, so maybe he couldn't reason with her by talking, but he wasn't stupid. They'd already done enough of... of this. She was trying to make him jealous. And for all his words, he truly was. And he wasn't prepared to give her the opportunity to let it continue. You're free to leave me but just don't deceive me Reaching the clearing on the floor, the feeling that he was being suffocated suddenly leaving him as he took in the image of Sharon, he stepped forward, reaching round for her hand, lifting it up and forcing her to spin round and meet him. And please, believe me when I say I love you. Sharon, as if by some new instinct that screamed she was repulsed by him, tried to pull away when she realised who it was that was holding her. She stepped back into a furious stride, but Dennis countered her, coming forwards and never once surrendering his grip on her hand. "You don't have to do this." She scoffed and tilted her head away, which meant Dennis only yanked her forwards, satisfied as she seemed to collapse against him, lifting her chin with his fingertips. "I'm not doing anything... not compared to you... are you getting off on this?" "Oh honey..." he drawled sarcastically. "...it looked as though that's exactly what you wanted." She stopped moving and pressed her palm forcefully into his chest, keeping him back even as he clutched at her hand. "You... bastard. You... You kept... I thought you wanted..." He span away from her enquiring eyes, his arms falling around her waist as he stepped up behind her instead, nestling into her shoulder as they turned; his lips practically against her soft neck, muffling his words as he spoke. "I never say things I don't mean. You know that." She struck out, stamping her foot as she moved away. Why does my heart cry?
(Roxanne, you don't have to put on that red light)
Feelings I can't fight
(Roxanne, you don't have to wear that dress tonight)
Why does my heart cry?
(Roxanne, you don't have to put on that red light)
Feelings I can't fight
(Roxanne, you don't have to wear that dress tonight) "No! You... You refused me. After everything you said... you refused me... you don't want me!" He stared at her dumbfounded for a a moment. He could feel the expectation in the air, it was obvious in the every breath that those around them daren't breathe; wondering why the show was halted, for none of them had heard a word they had managed to each other. He could hear the unease in the guys around the dance floor - so he spun round quickly, his arms raised to his sides, pointedly blocking their advancement on Sharon. He drew in a breath to prepare himself, covering the floor space to her in a flurry of spins he could only acknowledge thanks to the spinning walls and the clicking of his heels as they met the surface of the floor, again and again. As soon as he knew she was near, he was steady, pulling her close with a force that brought her whether she wanted to come or not. He kneaded her stomach with his knuckles for a moment, before sliding his arms around her waist and lifting her hand high, straightening his arm against hers as he threw her back onto her knees onto the floor, dragging her back up into a standing position by pulling on her wrist and forcing her arm around his neck, lifting her and spinning quick on his heel. Instinctively, Sharon clenched her thigh around his, her knee practically pressing up into his buttock, kicking her heel skywards too. "I want you." he murmured certainly. She had to know he meant it. "I've always wanted you."
Her other foot met the floor as the movement wound down with the last bars of music. But she did not move the other, and Dennis took the opportunity to lean over her, slipping his straightened leg between hers to hold her up as she leant back, curving her spine in one final striking pose, her free hand flying out to her side, an aching tingle zipping up her arm as she quivered - damn him - he'd won her over - literally. Roxanne!
There was barely time for the raving applause to die away before the DJ spoke, Dennis sneaking a glance at Sharon as he slipped his arm around her. "Now, by special request, to round off the Angie's Den Valentine's Ball 2004, can we have the management on the floor for the last dance?" Sharon's stomach went down to her toes as she suddenly realised how Dennis was looking at her. "This is what you did isn't it?" she muttered out the corner of her mouth. "It might have been." Sharon's mouth gaped as she shook her head disbelievingly. Then she saw Vicki bounding towards her, arms flung wide with the biggest smile on her face. "Sharon, this is fantastic - get out there!" "No!" "I don't think you have a choice." Dennis chuckled against her ear, looking pointedly towards the booth again. "So that's Sharon... Vicki..." The DJ called, lifting his eyes to scan the room for them. "What?" Vicki squawked, her smile dropped clean from her face. "I'm not management!" "I'm not going out there alone Vicks, whatever your brother thinks he's gonna do!" "Guys..." Jamie said nervously, stepping up beside Vicki. "Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't this your cue?" "Yes, it is!" Dennis nodded, nudging Sharon in the back with his elbow. "Oh alright!" she cried, feeling that she was beat. Beat, yeah right. So how was she to explain away the excited butterflies in her stomach if she didn't want to dance? She looked over her shoulder with a half smile at Dennis as she slid her hand through his and led him to the clearing on the floor, the applause starting up again as Vicki dragged an unsuspecting Jamie with her, completely ignoring the scowl that came from Spencer in her direction. So the two couples were stood in the middle of the floor, sneaking uneasy glances at their partners. Dennis grappled for Sharon's, and Jamie for Vicki's hands as they waited for the music to surround them, and as it did, Sharon laughed, catching sight of Vicki's elated face before she faced Dennis, more aware than ever that her heart skipped a beat. They didn't move as they heard the words, just enjoying each other's gazes. Sharon could feel heat prickling in her cheeks as she watched his lips flicker silently to the notion of the lyrics, and she dropped her gaze with a smirk. Now I've had the time of my life
And I owe it all to you. Dennis pushed her back as the tempo exploded into existence, straightening her arms and rolling his hips into her as he moved close into the step sequence. As she went to his right, he pushed again against her left hand so she would let it drop and turn to level with him. He lifted the hand he held, and they stepped forwards, jutting out their hips. I've been waiting for so long
Now I've finally found someone
To stand by me.
Saw the writing on the wall
And we felt this magical
Fantasy.
Now with passion in our eyes
There's no way we could disguise
That she's with me.
So we take each other's hand
Cos we seem to understand
The urgency Straightening her arm again, thus bringing her hand down, Sharon span in towards him so she faced him again as he took up her other hand, holding both once more and turning quick. And as he did, Dennis wondered, why those around them began to cheer. Were they looking at Vicki & Jamie? Or were they catching the way that Sharon looked back at him as he looked at her, and believing every emotion that they danced with. Just remember!
You're the one thing I can't get enough of
So I'll tell you something Feeling his arms snake around her waist, she looped her instinctively around his neck, her fingertips bouncing off his shoulders as he lifted her, almost like a trophy into the air, gazing proudly up at her, before he turned, loving the rush of aching adrenaline that flooded his head, and just wishing, hoping that it felt the same for her before he lowered her back down, loathe to, wanting to hold her there forever.. This could be love!
Because I've had
The time of my life!
No, I never felt this way before So instead he stole up both her hands, pushing her back again before raising one of her hands and having her spin and pulling her down into his arms, holding her from the floor.
Yes, I swear it's the truth
And I owe it all to you.
Hey baby! As she straightened up, she span around him, pressing her hand lightly into his right shoulder as she strode around him, taking in every detail of every muscle in his back with hungry eyes. With my body and soul
I want you more than you'll ever know Spinning away from her touch, Dennis practically driled himself into the floor, falling to his knees to much cheering. So we'll just let it go
Don't be afraid to lose control Sharon offered him her hand, expecting him to pull himself up. She saw the look of chance in his eyes a second too late, feeling him kiss the back of her hand before it served its intended purpose, bringing him so close against her as he pulled her arm into the air, she could barely breathe. And just as he had intended, she pretty much fell helplessly against him for a moment, which he showcased as a very impressive drag. Yes, I know what's on your mind when you say
"Stay with me tonight!"
(Yes indeed!) Though finding support in her own legs as soon as he was done, Sharon remained close, burying her head in his shoulder; the cool silk soothing her burning skin and allowing her to take in his intoxicating scent. She wrapped herself entirely around him, pushing her leg gently, teasingly, between his own, which was not unnoticed. But she didn't care, too preocuppied with letting her inquisitive fingers dance their own rhythm into the nape of his neck, caressing the curl. Just remember!
You're the one thing I can't get enough of
So I'll tell you something
This could be love! Sharon lifted her head from against his shoulder, and feeling his hands press encouragingly against her spine, she leant back, stretching her other arm out to her side and enjoying the head-rush as it became apparent that Vicki was dancing on the ceiling. Because I've had
The time of my life!
No, I never felt this way before As she met his chest, Dennis pushed her out to his side and loosened his grip on the one hand he held, giving her oppurtunity to spin away to Jamie. Vicki had forseen this somehow and was already away from her partner and covering the dizzy distance to her brother. Yes, I swear it's the truth
And I owe it all to you. Jamie laced his fingers through Sharon's immediately, raising them high and creating an arch for them to spin underneath, laughing happily at the continued energy pulsing through them both as they met one another's eye each time. Because I've had
The time of my life!
And I've searched through every open door
And I found the truth
And I owe it all to you As they stopped, fingers still laced, Jamie pushed her out, meeting her again and again in a step sequence that it made her dizzy to watch, let alone consider herself part of as she span underneath his hand, only to return to the footwork as the instrumental saw them through. Sharon stole away to Vicki as soon as she had taken a step away from Dennis. Vicki received Sharon with a grin, picking up her hands and turning so their places were switched and she could admire Jamie, as Sharon could Dennis, the beat apparently pulsing through their legs as they swung their hips and clicked their fingers, taking in the sisters' meeting to dance with each other before returning to their partners. Or so they assumed. Vicki had realised this too, and was just as determined as Sharon to tease them both, rolling back on the balls of her feet as she turned away, her hips meeting Sharon's own. Then she span in to face her sister, flinging out her arms at a ninety-degree angle to her sides and meeting Sharon's hands, slipping her fingers through before raising their arms into the air and watching each other's sequence on the floor. As their hands fell away, one arm came against the other's waist, pulling them both round into a smooth turn before their hands were linked again as they stepped to the side. They span in towards each other at the same time which meant that while one arm was around their sister's back, the other fell diagonally across her chest, pulling her closer. Then they struck out into a lunge again, but Dennis could not bear it and sntached up the hand idle at Sharon's side to pull her back to him in an unanticipated spin. How pathetic was it that he was jealous seeing her dance with her own sister? And somewhere, somehow, he just knew that it wasn't that he considered her his exclusively on the dancefloor. It was that he dared to consider her his exclusively forever. So what was he doing saying that he...? She watched his face with interest as his lips flickered tellingly. He gazed at her, thinking how much he loved her, how much he wanted her. And he could tell in the changes of her facial muscles that she could feel him lovingly caressing the back of her calf, lifting it against his own in own quick movement that was very much admired by their almost forgotten audience. Now I've had the time of my life
No, I've never felt like this before
Yes, I swear it's the truth
And I owe it all to you. And they seemed to get a lot more vocal as he lifted her further up his leg, cultimating in her knees clenching around his hip bone as she spun her round.
