My birthday comes on a Sunday next year. John’s leaving for France in a week. Next year is my parent’s fiftieth annivercary.	Use simple present and present progressive tenses to describe future activities that are already scheduled or planned to take place in the future.

Simple Present	Kay completes her residency next May.	Definite future plans or schedules events with future time adverbials in dependent clauses.	Already planned or expected in the future.
