My favorite city is Khiva, Khorezm region.
I am Sultonova Shakhlo Koranbayevna, I was born on October 17, 1977 in Koshkopir district, now I live in the city of Khiva.
Khiva was one of the most important cities of Central Asia with its trade, political and cultural development from the 6th century BC to the 19th century AD. Due to Khorezm's strategic location on the Great Silk Road from Iran to India, it was actively involved in strengthening relations between different cultures.
"Khiva" is one of the few cities in the world where a historical building, in fact, an entire open-air city has practically been preserved in its historical state. The city of Khiva has many interesting historical monuments, among which the Ichan Castle is a large and unique architectural monument in Central Asia. The inner part of the fortress of Khiva. Ichan Castle is separated from the Dishan Castle part of the city by a bronze wall. Ichan Castle is entered through 4 gates - Baghcha gate, Polvan gate, Tosh gate, Ota gate. Also, the Mausoleum of Pahlavon Mahmud is one of the other architectural monuments in Khiva. This mausoleum was built between 1810 and 1835 on the site of a small building built in 1664 on the tomb of Palawan Mahmud.

Khiva is the oldest and truly unique region of Uzbekistan. The first information about Khorezm was recorded in the Zoroastrian book "Avesta", therefore this region is considered one of the cradles of human civilization. Famous scientists Beruni, Al-Khorazmi, Zamakhshari, Ogakhi worked in Khorezm. In Khiva, the first Academy of Sciences named "Mamun Academy" was established in Central Asia.
"The land of a thousand fortresses" is the name given to many ancient monuments located in the city of Khiva in the Khorezm region. Ancient settlements with a thousand-year history, palaces, mosques, minarets - here every stone breathes history. Khorezm region is located on the plain bordering the Karakum desert in the south-west and south. The region borders Karakalpakstan in the north, Turkmenistan in the south, and Bukhara region in the southeast.
Khorezm desert region is rich in oil, gas, gold, silver, molybdenum, tungsten, iron, marble and granite.
