The Square Kilometer Array policy directive was signed off by the Minister and Gazetted. The Department contributed to the development of radio regulations for the Astronomy Geographic Advantage (AGA) areas.
The Department also facilitated and monitored the implementation of radio regulations for the AGA areas.

Measures to improve spectrum usage developed in accordance with the National Radio Frequency Spectrum policy
The National Radio Frequency Spectrum Policy was issued on 16 April 2010.
The Draft Policy Directions for Spectrum Usage was developed and notice for publication in Government Gazette was also prepared.
