African Multilateral organisations further strengthened through the influencing of key debates via the submission of at least 2 SA Position Papers
Adoption of RSA position at AU which seek to develop a the cybersecurity framework in Africa.
The DOC also implemented decision of the Oliver Tambo Declaration of mainstreaming ICT policies, through the hosting of the e-Skills Summit in July 2010, outcome of which was the development of the e-Skills Action Plan.
The DoC also participated in the African Telecommunications Union (ATU)Conference of Plenipotentiaries in September 2010 where DoC was elected into the Administrative Council of the Union. This positions South Africa positively in ensuring alignment between continental programmes and that of the ITU, and also ensuring infrastructure development in the continent.
