Variance reasons current status

Authentication service providers accredited	This target was subject to the SAAA receiving an application for authentication services and products. In terms of the ECT Act, the SAAA is supposed to appoint an evaluator to assist with the assessment of applications. This process has been successfully accomplished pending receiving an application.		X		Although an Evaluator was appointed to assist in assessing applications, no applications were received during the reporting period.

SAAA legal framework reviewed and policies to support SAAA mandate developed	The Guidelines and regulations to facilitate the operations of the SAAA were developed and approved.		X		Going forward, the review of the SAAA legal framework is being considered as part of the ECT Act amendment process.	-
