The ICT Rural Development Strategy was developed and consultations with the Department of Rural Development and Land Affairs were conducted to discuss the establishment of an implementation forum as per Cabinet recommendation.
Stakeholder input on the Strategy and Implementation Plan was received in March 2011. The Implementation Plan currently is being finalized. The Department together with USAASA, SABC, and NEMISA have begun implementing certain areas of the ICT Rural Development strategy.
