Project	Metropolitan Weather Information and Forecast System for the NCR of Delhi.

Client Profile & Project Abstract	Indian  Meteorological  Department was established in the year 1875 with its headquarters at Culcutta. The headquarter was shifted to Shimla in 1905, to Pune in 1928 and then to Delhi in 1944. Provide current weather and forecast/ meteorological information for optimum operation of weather sensitive activities  like agriculture, irrigation, shipping aviation, off-shore oil exploration etc.
Roles& Responsibilities	Development Developing GIS based web applications using .NET framework by extending ARCGIS (ESRI) API for .NET. Using Google maps API in web application for proving more user interactivity. Code refactoring to ensure code quality. Configured and run WRF, WPS models on AIX platform.using unix. Converting the greb data generated by the satellite to netcdf (network common data format), for input to WRF model by writing scripts in unix on AIX platform.
PUBLICATION/RESEARCH PAPER/ARTICLE:- Research paper published in “Vayumandal 2011” Vol. 37 No. 1-4 January-December 2011, Bulletin of Indian meteorological society on special issues proceedings of TROPMET-2011. Worked for Performance of IMD Multi-model Ensemble (MME) and WRF (ARW) based sub-basin wise rainfall forecast for Mahanadi basin during flood season 2011. ACHIEVEMENT:

• Participated in the workshop on Neural Networks and its implementation with MATLAB.

• Participated in KAUN BANEGA CROREPATI GHAR BAITHE JEETO JACKPOT and won 1 Lakh cash prize from KBC.
