In 1970 with Angela Reed Larry discovered the Town of Olive and the Ashokan Reservoir and bought a weekend home in Boiceville. In 1972 their daughter Paula was born and Adam and Alix came to live with him. The family settled in the tiny Boiceville house and started looking for somewhere larger to live. They discovered the Country Inn in Krumville was for sale, and fell in love with it just as they found it--grass waist high and with a barroom, barn, pond, waterfall, and seven bedrooms. The economy and weekly commuting to New York City led to the demise of the jewelry business, and Larry and Angela reopened the Country Inn in 1974. He offered about 500 different beers and reportedly drew customers from across the country. In 2003 Larry sold the home and business.
