Participants will use tools like photography and storytelling in order to gradually discover and picture the local identity of the rural community, while also being guided toward reconnecting with their own roots and sharing this connection with the others. They will be involved in a discovery learning process that will reveal to them the power of image and imagination and guide them toward the idea of using storytelling (both verbal and non-verbal) as a tool for rural regeneration. During the 10 days of the Workshop, the participants will take part in a series of activities aimed at building group cohesion, exploring the community and the surrounding space, stimulating creativity and raising awareness concerning the importance of rural heritage.

10.04.13: Visit at History and Archaeological Museum and Folk Art Museum Constanta “Cultural animation in the Black Sea region” – workshop/ debate at The Regional Centre for Traditional Culture Conservation Intercultural evening
11.04.13: “The naval tradition in the Black Sea region – from golden flees to the modern cruises” – visit and workshop at the Constanta Harbour and Naval Academy “Cultural animation – a practical approach” – local community projects, (meeting with the students from “Ovidius” High-school for a project fair)
12.04.13: “Sustainable tourism – when nature meets history” – visit and workshop at the archaeological site and museum of Histria Visit to the Danube Delta Biosphere Reserve Administration “Danube Delta – an island of nature” – meeting at the Tourist Resource Centre Tulcea

Target Group + Translation:
Non professional leaders and coaches, working with LGBT, human rights and diversity. They are non-professionals such as volunteers and activists that spend some time on community work and want to use the narrative approach as a tool to work with identity of LGBT people. However, as the wish is to stimulate diveristy in the workshop as well, the workshop is open to anyone that would wish to work for a more equal society.

Monday: Introduction, learning goals, introduction to the narrative approach and listening skills Tuesday: When a problem has become part of your identity - practicing externalising conversations Wednesday: Constructing more positive conclusion on identity - practicing re-authoring conversations
Thursday: Further practicing narrative coaching: working with teams and groups
Friday: Implementing narrative coaching in your community work. Evaluation
