At once timeless and original, Boston singer-songwriter Alice Howe joins a soulful, impeccably tuned voice with crafted poetry. Alice's musical sensibility lies in '60s folk and '70s Southern California songwriters, with comparisons drawn to the pure, distilled sounds of Joan Baez and Kate Wolf. As a performer, Alice is sure-footed and captivating, familiar to her audience from the very first song. Released March 2017, her EP You've Been Away So Long traces the New England native's years in the Pacific Northwest, featuring five original songs that take listeners on a cross-country journey through the matters of the heart.

“...I could listen to her sing for hours. Her voice is beautiful as a bell, classic in that Joan Baez way, transporting, wistful…her vocal mastery and musicality are beyond her young years and her songs stay in my head for days.”  -Antje Duvekot

"How can a singer-songwriter have a voice like a broken angel's bell and write songs that could be a week or a hundred years old all at once? Alice Howe, that's how. I'm proud to know her now, because I think big things are going to happen with this lady." - Vance Gilbert

“The future is bright for singer/songwriter Alice Howe! Her songwriting is STRONG and getting stronger. Her voice is as gentle as a spring rain with a hidden power that will surprise you. I am a BELIEVER!” - Joltin Joe Pszonek, Radio Nowhere

“Classic emotive folk reminiscent of Kate Wolf, Alice Howe's earnest lyrics and heart-melting vocals might be the musical equivalent of lying in the dark beneath a clear sky of stars.” - Robby Hecht

“Alice Howe is one of those raw finds you hope to come across before everyone catches on. She has the ability to silence rooms, drawing audiences in with her palpably sincere, truthful delivery...Legends like Neil Young, Townes Van Zandt, Joni Mitchell and Emmy Lou Harris come to mind...she has tapped into something latent, something secret and timeless and has harbored it and made it all her own." - Jay Jasch, Rarity Music Arts
