This result indicates that research studies should be conducted to help them acquire a better understanding of NOS. Related to the relationship between views about NOS and decision-making skills, in order to evaluate a response on SECAT as a correct answer or as a misconception, the response consistent with the response to the first tier must be selected for the second tier by the examinee. Becausethe relationship of views about NOS with the achievement and misconception scores is significant, individuals with realistic views about NOS may be better decision-makers. However, in order to explore if holding realistic views about NOS causes to be a better decision-maker, experimental research must be conducted. Therefore, necessary precautions must be taken in science teacher training programs for.
