For Immediate Release

Cohutta, Georgia. (Feb. 5, 2015)- Choutta Springs Youth camp will be building a Community Health Center beginning April 16, 2015.
The Health Center will be a complex located directly in the middle of the campus, which will provide easy access to swimming, and an expansion of staff housing, and medical area.
The Health Center will include an Olympic sized swimming complex, a new nurses station, a health for life center, and an indoor auditorium. 10 million dollars in donations were raised by donations for the project by the Seventh Day Adventist church, and the Southern Youth conference.
“The Health Center will provide a place where both campers and staff can go to stay even more active then camp already keeps them,” said Camp Director Rob Lang. “We will be also adding a new nurses station that can house up to 10 campers at a time. Also, the new swimming pool will be even more accessible to everyone at camp.”
Cohutta hosts more than 3,000 kids every summer, and another 2,000 during its off-season, for school retreats and various conferences. The camp currently features a quarter mile zip line, a paintball course, and mountain biking trails. With the Health Center as an addition to its campus, Cohutta will be able to hold over 500 in its indoor amphitheater, and will provide a gym to stay fit throughout the summer.
“Our camp values a healthy lifestyle, and we believe by adding this Health Development, we will be able to stay fit and show others what is like to live a God centered, healthy life,” said Lang “We hope to provide a place that keeps promoting a fit lifestyle, and a healthy atmosphere to all who come to camp.”
