LIVINGSTON – Funeral services for Curtis Vernon Harris, 53, will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 16, 2000, from the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel, with Bro. Lee Poe officiating. Interment will follow in Bold Springs Cemetery. Mr. Harris died Thursday, Jan. 13, in UTMB Medical Center in Galveston. He was born Feb. 14, 1946 in Austin, the son of Nealy and Opal Davis Harris, both of whom preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife, Maria Harris of Kountze; sons, Anthony Harris of Livingston and John Harris of Dallas; daughters, Patsy Harris of Dallas and Cynthia Harris of Dallas; stepdaughter, Shelia Sewell of Tyler; stepsons, Darrell Vick and Wesley Vick of Conroe; sisters, Doris Grimes of Livingston and Trudy Neal of Livingston; brother, Leroy Harris of San Antonio; and 17 grandchildren.

LIVINGSTON - Funeral services for James Terry Harris, 61, were held Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2002, from Bethel Baptist Church, with Bro. Leonard Budro officiating. Interment followed in Bold Springs Cemetery. Mr. Harris, formerly of Livingston, died Sunday, Feb. 10, at his residence in New Caney. He was born Dec. 29, 1940 in Sipsi, Ala., the son of Bertis and Elsie Miller Harris, both of whom preceded him in death. He married Betty Lightfoot in Houston on March 18, 1961. Mr. Harris was a member of Bethel Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Betty; daughter, Crystal Dolen of Spring; daughters and sons-in-law, Connie and Dean Morris of League City, Ginger and Eddie Rogers of New Caney and Terrie and David Matcek of Corrigan; grandsons, Christopher Dolen of Houston, Marion Rogers of New Caney, Eddie Rogers II of New Caney and Matthew Matcek of Bryan; granddaughter,

Robin Malone of Livingston; brothers, Wayne Harris of Livingston and Larry Williams of Magnolia; and sisters, Sue Crush of Livingston, Rita Barnett of Magnolia and Nita Barnett of Magnolia. Pallbearers were Eddie Rogers, David Matcek, Matthew Matcek, Larry

Williams, H.L. Warren and Dean Morris. Honorary pallbearers were Wayne Harris and Winfred Harris. Cochran Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

LIVINGSTON – Funeral services were held Sunday for Nealy Harris, 90, at Cochran Funeral Home Chapel. Jimmy Galloway officiated and interment followed at Bold Springs. Mr. Harris was born Sept. 17, 1891 in Cameron and died Jan. 21 at Community Hospital in San Antonio. He was the son of the late Tom Harris and Belle Harris. He married Opal Harris Sept. 18, 1926 in Marlin. Survivors include his wife, Opal Harris of Livingston; two daughters, Doris Jean Grimes of Livingston and Trudie Neal of Livingston; two sons, Leroy Harris of San Antonio and Curtis Harris of Livingston; sister, Juanita Rushing of Houston

and a brother, Ed Watkins of California. Pallbearers were Reggie Grimes, David Grimes, Fred Davis Jr., James Davis, Ruff Davis, Donald Woodard and J. P. Woodard.

Livingston – Funeral services for Opal Harris, 83, of Livingston were held Saturday,

Oct. 31, 1992, from the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Bill Skaar officiating. Interment followed in Bold Springs Cemetery. Mrs. Harris died Oct. 29 in Polk County Memorial Hospital. She was born Aug. 11, 1909 in Baylor County, the daughter of Rufus Davis and Mattie Newman. On Sept. 18, 1926 she married Nealy Harris. Mrs. Harris

enjoyed sewing and quilting. Survivors include two sons, LeRoy Harris on San Antonio and Curtis Harris of Kountze; two daughters, Doris Grimes and Trudie Neal, both of Livingston; two brothers, Fred Davis of Livingston and R. D. Davis of Austin; two sisters, Myrtle

Harris of Leander and Julia Echelberger of Waxahachie; 10 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Reggie Grimes, David Grimes, Rufus Davis, Fred Davis Jr., J. P. Woodard and Donald Woodard. Cochran Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

LIVINGSTON - Funeral services for Shirley Harris, 64, were held Friday, June 21, 2002, from the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Orval Barger officiating. Interment followed in Bold Springs Cemetery, Livingston. Mrs. Harris died Wednesday, June 19, at her residence in Livingston. She was born Oct. 13, 1937 in Center, the daughter of Floyd and Loyce Samford Parker. She was preceded in death by her father, Floyd Avery Parker; mother, Loyce Loraine Samford Neeley and sister, Pam Neeley. Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Keith and Ronnah Price of Pasadena, Larry Price of Huntsville and Darren Harris of Arkansas; daughters and son-in-law, Connie and Chris Watson of Port Orchard, Wash. and Kathy Counts of Livingston; 11 grand-children; four great-grand-children; sister and brother-in-law, Carolyn and Lloyd Davis of Livingston; father, Wilburn L. Neeley of Arkansas and stepmother, Margie Neeley of Arkansas. Pallbearers were James Fain, Tommy Fain, Donald McClung, Johnny Williams, Don Golden and Harlan Camp.
