Obituary published in the Polk County Enterprise - May 28, 1978 Edition

Funeral Services for Doris Johana Payne 64, were held May 23 from the chapel of the Pace Funeral Home with the Rev. C. L. Moore officiating. Interment followed at Bold Springs Cemetery. Pallbearers were Todd Payne, Ronnie Payne, Jeff Platt, Keith Payne, Steven Schurmann, and Clay Platt. Mrs. Payne was born March 9, 1914 in Houston. She died May 21. Mrs. Payne is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Herman Fahrenthold of Houston. She attended the Houston public schools. Mrs. Payne married William Henry Payne on

January 18, 1930. The Payne’s made Houston there home for many years moving to Moscow

in 1971 Mrs. Payne was a member of the Lutheran Church. Survivors include her husband William Henry Payne Sr. of Moscow; five sons, Dr. W. H. Charles Payne of San Antonio, William Henry Payne Jr. of Cleveland, Richard Payne of Mobil, Ala., Carl Payne of Leggett and Robert Payne of Houston; three daughters: Delores Platt of Moscow, Beverly Schurmann of Houston, and Debbie Davis of Houston; 19 grand-children and one great grand child.

LIVINGSTON - Funeral Services for Earleen Payne, 83, were held Tuesday, Dec, 12, 2006, in the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Frank Hood and the Rev. Harold Isaac officiating. Burial followed in Bold Springs Cemetery. Mrs. Payne died Sunday, December 10. in Pineridge Health Care in Livingston. She was born March 7, 1923 in Livingston, the daughter of Cecil and Jodie Rogers Watts. She was preceded in death by her parents;

her husband, Raymond Payne; son, Raymond E. Payne; grandson, Donald Ray Payne Jr., brothers, Bro. John Carter Watts and Bro. Edwin Bryan Watts and sisters, Janiece Watts and Nelmyree Watts. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Donald Ray and Angie Payne Sr. of Livingston; daughter and son-in-law, Alice Payne Galloway and husband Paul

of Livingston; son and daughter-in-law, Rodney Lynn and Peggy Payne; grandsons and wives, Jeff and Deena Galloway, Michael Brandon and Kelly Payne and Justin Daniel and Margarita Payne; grandsons, Jonathan Lance Payne and Clinton Russell Payne; granddaughter, Stacey Lynn Payne Ferguson and husband Rick; eight great-grandchildren and daughter-in-law, Jackie Payne. Pallbearers were Tom Wilder, Jim Buller, Kenneth Baker, Pat Swilley, Steve McNiel, and Merle Pulley.

LIVINGSTON – Funeral services for Emery Earl Payne, 71, of Corrigan were held from the chapel of the Cochran Funeral Home at 3 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 21. Bro. Calloway officiated. Interment followed at Bold Spring Cemetery. Mr. Payne was born in Trinity County March 18, 1910 and died Sept. 19 in Woodland Heights Hospital in Lufkin. His parents were Ben and Ella Baker Payne. Mr. Payne was a general construction worker. He is survived by; one daughter, Bonnie Jane Payne of La.; one son, Louis Earl Payne of La.; six brothers, W. H. Payne of Moscow, Ben Payne of New Caney, Herman Payne of Lufkin, Raymond Payne of Livingston, Barney Payne of Houston, and O. A. Payne of Lufkin; three sisters, Mrs. L. J. Dejohn of Gallatin, Tenn., Mrs. W. R. Parker of Segno and Mrs. Etha Cowan of Baytown. Pallbearers were: W. H. Payne, David Parker, Rodney Payne, Raymond Earl Payne, Donald Platt and Steve Sherman.

DAYTON – Herman Hayden Payne, 67, of Dayton died Sunday, Dec. 14, 1986 in Methodist Hospital, Houston. Mr. Payne was born in Centralia, TX. And had been a resident of Dayton for 57 years. Services were held Tuesday, Dec. 16, from the Sterling Funeral Home Chapel in Dayton, with the Rev. Frank Edward Hood officiating. Graveside services were held later that day from Bold Springs Cemetery near Livingston. Survivors include his wife, Willie Muriel Payne of Dayton; three sons, Sherman Payne of Crosby and Bobby Payne and Gary

Buzz” Payne both of Dayton; three daughters, Pat Cantrell of Dayton and Barbara Watson and Scharlene Prozak, both of Eagle Lake; three brothers, Ben Payne of New Caney, Bill Payne of Corrigan and Barney Payne of Houston; three sisters, Fannie DeJohn of Gallatin, Tenn., Lillian Parker of Segno and Etha Cowan of Baytown; 17 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Todd McCoy, Jason Payne, Burt Payne, Troy Cantrell, Daniel Payne, Ben Payne and Chester Payne. Sterling Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
