Livingston – Funeral services for John Nick Walding, 79, of Livingston were held Tuesday, Sept. 17, 1991 from the chapel of Cochran Funeral Home, with the Rev. Dennis Land officiating. Interment followed in Bold Springs Cemetery. Mr. Walding died Monday, Sept. 16, in Polk County Memorial Hospital. He was born Sept. 29, 1911 in Livingston, the son of Robert Gabe and Juanita Buller Walding. He received his education in the Livingston schools. On Feb. 28, 1931 he married the former Gersie McIntyre in Livingston. He was a member of the First Assembly of God Church and Trinity Lodge No. 14. Survivors include his wife, Gersie Walding of Livingston; daughter, Johnnie Walker of Pasadena; son and daughter-in-law, Buck and Kathy Walding of Livingston; daughter and son-in-law, Nikkie Sue and Glen Hearren of Hemphill; sister, Ida Chessher of Livingston; brother, A. E. “Dock”

Walding of Livingston; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Pallbearers

were Roy Burch, Frank Fawbush, Doug Borie, Jimmy Joe Walker, Benny Evans and John Shirley. Interment was under the auspices of Trinity Lodge No. 14.

Cochran Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

LIVINGSTON – Funeral services for Ben Lewis Walker, 69, of Trinity were held Friday, Dec. 23, 1988 from Bethel Baptist Church in Bold Springs, with the Rev. Johnny Buller officiating. Interment followed in Bold Springs Cemetery. Mr. Walker died Thursday,

Dec. 20, in Lake Livingston Medical Center. He was born Jan. 6, 1919 in Livingston, the

son of Berry Walker and Emma Lue Martin Walker. He was a welder on pipeline construction. Survivors include a daughter, Evelyn Walker Phillips of Lake Charles, La.;

son, Charles Berry Walker of San Diego, CA; mother, Emma Lue Walker Garrett of Trinity; three sisters, Minnie Ola Walker Kremer, Pearl F. Graef and Alma Lee Pogue of Trinity; and four grandchildren.Pallbearers were Gerald Haynes, Leonard Haynes, Oscar Lee Martin, Bob Thayer, Jimmy Yates and Charlie Walker. Cochran Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Livingston – Funeral services for Emma Lu Martin Garrett, 100, of Livingston, were Saturday, Dec. 26, 1992 in the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Frank Hood and Rev. Johnny Buller officiating. Interment followed in the Bold Springs Cemetery. Mrs. Garrett died Wednesday, Dec 23, 1992 in Timberwood Nursing Home in Livingston. Born Jan 20, 1892 in the Willis Community in Montgomery County to Benjamin (T. C.) Martin and Alabama (Bamma) Mathis. Mrs. Garrett was the house-keeping manager for the Ben Milam Hotel for many years and was also a member of the VFW Auxiliary of Grangerland. Mrs. Garrett was preceded in death by two sons, W. R. Walker and Ben Louis Walker; and two husbands, Berry W. Walker and Bill Garrett. Survivors include three daughters, Alma Pogue, Pearl Graef and Minnie Kremer, all of Carlisle; five grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and 13 great-great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Charlie Phillips, Mark Phillips, Tommy Stephens, Craig Whitehead, Jimmy Phillips, Dave Baber and Jimmy Yates.

Cochran Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

LIVINGSTON – Wanda Lou Walker, 64, of Livingston died Thursday, Feb. 12, 2004, in Memorial Medical Center – Livingston.Funeral services were held Sunday, Feb. 15, at Bethel Baptist Church, with the Rev. Harold Isaacs officiating. Burial followed in Bold Springs Cemetery. Mrs. Walker was born Dec. 2, 1939 in Trinity, the daughter of Thomas and Thelma Garrett Cockrell, both of whom preceded her in death. Mrs. Walker was a member of Bethel Baptist Church. Survivors include her son, Jimmy Walker and David Walker,

both of Livingston; daughters-in-law, Shelby Walker and Stacy Walker of Livingston; sisters, Dora Pierce of Crosby and Linny Parrish of Trinity; grandsons, Brandon Walker, Carson Walker, Garrett Walker and Blayne Walker, all of Livingston; and nephews,

Robert Self of Crosby and Richard Self of Huntsville. Pallbearers were David Wood, Christopher Ellis, Sean Ellis, Merle Pulley Sr. & Merle Pulley Jr.
