  • Class of 2021 Freshmen Class Shirt: Calling all freshmen! If you would like to purchase a freshmen class shirt, please go see Mrs. Muramoto in S201 for a form with an example on it. The price is $20. Please get it in soon if you would like a shirt for the first order. --- Taylor Hamilton

  • To all interested students: Reminder that all COMPLETED court forms/packets are due today, August 25, 2017 by 2:30 in G-107. No late forms will be accepted.   • Attention all-star Saber Singers: If you’re interested in showcasing your singing skills this is your chance to shine! Please come to S-105 and see Mr. Manzanillo for further information. --- Dwayne Karlo Manzanillo




  • COR Club: New and returning members! If you are interested in serving our school and community please consider joining COR club. We will be having our first meeting on Tuesday 8/29 during lunch in M-104. --- Cindy Yamasaki




  • Anime Club: Are you interested in Japanese Animations and Manga? Come to our booth at Club Rush during lunch on Thursday August 24 and join our club. Also just a reminder, our second meeting will be held on Friday August 25 in D-102 at 3PM.We will be discussing about T-shirt designs, Homecoming banner, and forms/dues. --- Karly Kanehiro




  • Future JCHS Hikers, Deadline for membership forms and dues is Tuesday, August 29 at lunch. On Wednesday, we will be holding our first official meeting regarding future hikes and volunteer opportunities in D-106 during lunch. Bring your lunch. Only students with completed membership forms can attend the meeting. If you are interested in purchasing a club shirt for $12, please place your order by September 6th in D-106. Time: 2:30 - 3:00 p.m.

We are still accepting students from all grade levels to join JCHS DECA (Distributive Education Clubs of America) Club. We are planning for our CTSO Competitive Events in areas of Marketing, Business Law, Accounting, Sports Entertainment, Food Marketing, Quick-Serve Management, and Business Services. If you are currently employed and in Marketing, Business Management, Accounting and Business Economics you are entitled to earn a Cooperative Education credit for your employment. Please review the JCHS Registration Guide Booklet. For more info, check out deca.org and you will find events, conferences, areas of competition and more. --- Linda Urner

  • Off Campus Events:

  • September – Dates vary. Lifeguard Training Course (Blended on-line Learning). Obtain the certifications to prepare for emergency situations by enrolling in this challenging course which includes American Red Cross Lifeguard Training, CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer, and First Aid. Minimum age is 15 years old by 9/7/17. Please visit the College and Career Center for a flyer.

  • September 5 – Brown Near You. An informational presentation and an opportunity for questions and answers on Brown University by Dayna Niwa Krakower, Senior Assistant Director of Admission. Session begins at 6 p.m. at Iolani School, 563 Kamoku Street. Register and find more information online brown.edu/go/brownnearyou

  • September 14 – Exploring College Options, Student/Parent Information Session from Duke, Georgetown, Harvard, Penn, and Stanford. Session begins at 7 p.m. at Hilton Hawaiian Village, 2005 Kalia Road. RSVP at www.exploringcollegeoptions.org

  • October 5 - Military Federal Scholarship Brief at Kalaheo High School, 6:30 p.m. Information on ROTC scholarships, applying to Military Academies, and requesting nominations will be given.
