New Approaches For FPGA (Field Programmable Gate Array) Implementation of Digital Modulation Techniques
In this thesis, one of the digital modulation techniques which is Quadrature Phase Shift Keying Modulation System is, by using Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA), which is a digitally hardware re-programmable conroller, designed. In this system, in order to obtain base functions, without using mathmatical operators, read only memory element is used. Mathmatical process load of the system is reduced by loading the carrier signal and base functions, which are created on Matlab, on the memory elements.
Values which are read from the tables, depending on the signal that comes to the modulator input, are transferred from digital domain in to anolog domain. QPSK modulated signal figure that is created in the analog domain is analysed. Afterwards, by digitizing the data in the analog domain, transfer in to the digital domain completed and demodulation is actualized.
For modulated and demodulated signals, effects of the filters at the phase changing nodes are analyzed with the help of analog - digital or digital - analog converters by designing various finite filters that have the impuls response. Afterwards, more informations is given about the maximum transmission capacity of the system and systems that can operate parallelly.
