Frank Seraphin Heberle (Altusried branch) was b 1875 in Bavaria, Germany and arrived in USA in 1891. His wife was Mary. He was a bartender and proprieter of a saloon in New Brunswick in 1910-1920 and d 1923 New Brunswick. He was survived by a brother, Joseph of St Paul MN and sister, Florian Mayr of Brooklyn NY.

Juergen Wilhelm Heberle (Clausthal-Zellerfeld branch), son of Otto Rudolf, b Konigsberg/Kalingrad. Migrated to USA in 1938. He m Dorothea.Lindsey in 1958. Their children are Thomas and Laura. Graduated Swarthmore College 1944. Aeronaut research scientist 1948-49. Research assistant Columbia Uni 1949-55. Did PhD physics Columbia University, South Carolina USA. Researched molecular structure, superconductors, electrodynamics. Instructed physics Yale Uni 1956-57. Associate physicist Argonne Nat Lab, Argonne IL 1957-65. Associate Professor of physics Clark Uni, Worcester MA 1965-67. Associate professor Emer Prof Physics at State Uni of New York at Buffalo NY1968-89. Professor of physics State Uni New York Buffalo 1989. Has done research on hydrogen atom, molecular structure, superconducting magnets, electrodynamics. Lived in Konigsberg 1925-26, USA 1926-29, Kiel 1929-38, Baton Rouge LA 1938, Germany 1957, Argonne IL 1957-65, Worcester MA 1965-67, Buffalo NY 1968-96.


Dorothea Lindsey Heberle went to Oberlin College and majored in French. She is fluent in 4 languages: French, German, Russian and Spanish. After graduation she went to France and taught English. She met her husband, Juergen Wilhelm, in Germany where he was living at the time. Dorothea worked in Erie in the English as a Second Language Program. For 3 summers she was involved in Bridges for Education, a volunteer teaching program in which she taught English conversation to teenagers, twice in the Ukraine and once in Belarus. She also does volunteer language teaching with older refugees from Russia through a program at Jewish Family Service.

Dr Jennifer Heberle (Laudenbach branch, m Barnes) was at Cornell University in 1996 (Farmington NY) and worked for Rochester Institute of Technology in 1998. In 1997 she was a member of Alpha Phi Omega (a service club) on Brockport Campus, New York. She graduated from Northwestern College of Chiropractic in 1993. Her business, Heberle Chiropractic Clinic has been operating in Canandaigua since 1993.


Hamlin NY

Jim Heberle (Laudenbach branch) is a 4th generation tree farmer in Hamlin, employs about 10 people there for 3 weeks in December to cut, trim or pot Christmas trees. Another 4 make wreaths. His crop includes potted varieties.




Jamestown NY

John W Heberle b 1900 and d 1980. He m Svea Hendrickson. Svea b Sweden and d 1993 in Jamestown NY, aged 81. For many years Svea was a cook at the Apple Inn and the Fountain Bowl, retiring in 1966.


Ronald A Heberle, 45, d 1982 in Jamestown. He was a construction worker with the Teamsters Union Local. He was b 1937 in Jamestown, a son of the late John and Dorothy Breckenridge Heberle. He was a member of Fluvanna Community Church, Fluvanna Fire Department, War Veterans Recreation and the Ira Lou Spring Post, American Legion.
He served with the New York State National Guard. Surviving were a son, Scott A Heberle; a brother, John Heberle Jr.; a half brother, Erik Swartz; a stepmother, Svea Heberle, and a stepsister, Ruth Weisbrod, all of Jamestown.
Olean NY

John Alphonsus Heberle (Laudenbach branch, b 1853 Rochester) farmer, cooper, oil dealer, teamster, m Anna Welch, lived in Olean NY c1886-. Children: John Joseph (b 1880 Holley NY), Petronella (b 1882 Holley NY), Frederick Peter (b 1883 Bordell NY), Anna Elisabeth (b 1887 Olean), James Edward (b 1888 Olean), Mary (b c1889 Olean), Rose (b 1892 Olean).


1st son, John Joseph Heberle m Mary Normandeau in Olean. He was a tax collector in 1920. They moved to Washington DC c1905 and lived in Montclair NJ in 1936. Children: Lucille, Robert John and Margaret, all b Washington DC. Lucille married Frederick Shulver. Robert John married Susanne Orem, son Richard Orem Heberle lived in Long Island NY.
Eldest daughter, Petronella was a sister at St Vincent’s Hospital, Birmingham AL in 1936.
2nd son, Frederick Peter Heberle m Edythe Logan. He worked in banking in Olean and d 1975 in Olean. Children: Helen, Thomas Logan, Jean and Gloria. Thomas Logan is the father of John Craig Heberle, who lived in Houston TX in 1995.
3rd son, James Edward Heberle, d 1954 in Washington DC. He m Lora Hutchens in Grand Rapids MI. They lived in Ottawa MI in 1929 and Washington DC in 1936. No children.

Joseph Heberle b 1825 Rochester m Matilda Bauer in Rochester 1852. Joseph was a miller in 1850 and cooper in 1870. He d Rochester 1886. Their children were Mary (b c1850), John Alphonsus (b 1853), Elisabeth (b 1856), Anna Maria (b 1858), John (b 1861), Peter (b 1863), Casper (b 1865), William (b 1868).
John Alphonsus Heberle (b 1853 Rochester) lived in Holley NY c1880-1882, Olean NY c1886-, m Anna Welch, see Olean NY.
John Heberle (b 1861, d 1916) m Susanna Fitch in Rochester in 1890. They had 3 children: Joseph (b 1891), Clara (b 1893), Edwin (b & d 1899).
Peter Heberle, b 1863, d 1937, cabinet maker, farm hand, m Louise Brauch 1883, children, all born in Rochester: Edward (b c1884), Mary (b 1888), Frank Xavier (b 1891), Matilda (b 1893), Anna Mary (b 1897), Edward Peter (b 1900).
Frank X Heberle b 1891 in Rochester. He was a shoemaker in 1910. Frank X m Anna Peters, moved to Milwaukee WI and had 2 daughters, Ruth and Gloria and 2 sons, Robert Lee and Thomas. Ruth Heberle was b 1921 Milwaukee d 1999. She m Emil Kadlec and lived in Racine WI. Survived by brother Robert of Sacramento CA.
Peter Heberle (b 1799 Sulzbach, Germany) arrived in USA 1843, with wife Anna and 9 children: Mary (b 1823), John (b 1825), Katharina (b 1827), Adam (b 1830), Antony (b 1832), Margaret (b 1834), Jacob (b 1837), Philip (b 1839), Elisabeth (b 1841). They lived in Irondequoit. A further 4 children were born in Irondequoit : Anna Maria (b 1845), Maria Magdalene (b 1847), Franz Joseph (b 1851), Margaret (b c1855). Mary, the eldest became a nun and lived in convents in Ohio and Indiana. Sons John (b c1825), Adam (b c1830) and Antony (b c1833) served in the Civil War but did not return to Rochester. Adam is believed to have settled in California and died there. Philip lived in St Louis MO at one time.
Peter Heberle's youngest son Franz Joseph was b 1851 in Rochester (Irondequoit), m Lillian Costich in 1873 and d 1927 in Rochester. They had 11 children, all born in Rochester (Irondequoit): Francis J (b 1873 d 1888), Anna (b 1875, d 1877), Elisabeth (b 1877, d 1949), Henry Alfred (b 1880, d 1956), John George (b & d 1882), William Thomas (b 1883, d 1948), Ida (b 1885, d 1967), Bernard John (b 1888, d 1981), Irene (b 1890, d 1904), Isabel (b 1893, d 1964), Joseph Arthur (b 1896).
Joseph Arthur Heberle (b 1896, d 1983) m Consuelo Merkel. Joseph purchased a farm in Penfield, with his older brother Bernard John Heberle (b 1888). Bernard m Isabel Mattern, no children. Prior to taking up farming, Bernard was a local judge and involved in local politics. Joseph and Consuelo had one son (Joseph Francis) and 7 girls (Edna, Constance, Beverly, Elizabeth, Janet and Suzanne). Bernard later sold his half of the farm to Joseph.
Joseph Francis Heberle is a farmer in Hamlin NY, who m Eileen Emory and had 10 children. They divorced in 1993 and Joseph m Sue Huss in 1994. Children of the first marriage are Mary Jo, Robert, James Edward, Kathy, Joe, Michael, Anne, Joan, Maureen and Bernie.
James Edward Heberle m Carole Savage and had 3 children: Kelly Ann, Kim Michelle and James Michael.
Kelly Ann Heberle did MBA in 1994 at Clarkson Uni. She lived in Potsdam NY and moved back to Rochester c1996. Kelly m Brian Burns in 1994. Kelly went to Penfield High School, Clarkson University, SUNY Potsdam and was a member of Phi Kappa Pi. She worked at Optimation Technology in 2000. Her brother James Michael (Jim) lived in Orlando FL in 1999 and sister Kim Michelle lived in Charlotte NC.

Joseph Francis Heberle’s second marriage produced 3 children. James Edward was a farmer in Penfield NY. Father Joseph F worked on the same farm but moved to Hamlin, after separating from Eileen. James Edward and family continued farming in Penfield, until it was sold in about 1987. Prior to then, the Heberle family operated a farm market (fruit and vegetable store) on the Penfield farm (Heberle Farm Market). James Edward worked on farms in Hamlin, with his brothers Robert and Bernie. The farms produced nursery stock, fruits and vegetables.

Robert is a farmer in Webster NY. Michael was with the US army in Germany to 2003, then USA.
Ann Heberle was a secretary to Supreme Court Justice Edmund Caruso in Monroe Supreme and County Courts in Rochester NY in 1997.
Elaine M Heberle worked in the University of Rochester computer science department, in 1997.
Aaron Heberle from Henrietta NY was in year 2 at Rochester Institute of Technology in 1998, studying information technology.
Thomas Heberle III (Heberle Disposal Services) has been a member of Webster NY Kiwanis Club. A world wide club of men and women who want to improve their communities. Heberle Disposal Service provides a waste removal and recycling service in the Rochester area. It is a family-owned company that has been serving Rochester and its surrounding communities for >35 years, since c1967. Previously managed by Thomas Heberle II.
Katie Heberle graduated from Nazareth College of Rochester with BA in Sociology in 2001. Had New York provisional certification as teacher in September 2001. Did student teaching in Penfield, Gates Chili, Rochester, Wayne Central areas. Has done community service at IGA Food markets Rochester, YWCA Rochester, St Joseph’s House of Hospitality Rochester, Foodlink Rochester 1997-2000.
Heberle Stables is at 751 Browncroft Boulevard in Rochester NY. The Heberle family has been serving the equestrian needs of Rochester since 1926. Located adjacent to scenic Ellison Park Heberle stables is a full service lesson and boarding facility. Currently managed by William R Heberle and his wife Heather, previously managed by his father Oscar Joseph and grandfather Henry Alfred Heberle. William’s children are Jacob, Alicia and Marguerite.

Heberle Nursery Company operated in the Rochester area (Penfield) in c1995. A fruit farm. Heberle Farm Market operated in the Rochester area (Qualtrough Road, Hamlin) in 1995 but Heberles were no longer involved. Started by Kelly Heberle Burns father James Edward Heberle and mother Carole. Sold in c1987. A fruit and vegetable store was built next to the farm house.


Sandra Munnings Heberle has worked in the Sisters of Mercy motherhouse near Rochester, since 1973. Over the years, she has worked as kitchen crew member, kitchen manager and now kitchen supervisor. Mercy High girls help in the kitchen. Each day’ luncheon meal is served both in the main dining room and upstairs in the motherhouse to about 100 folks in the Independent Living for Seniors program.
Michael Heberle, wife Rosa Gunkler Heberle and children: Friedrich, Marie M, John, Elizabeth, Barbara, Margaret, Lucy, Charles, arrived in USA 1888 and settled in the Rochester area.
Eldest son Friedrich (Fred) Heberle, b 1860 d 1897, labourer, teamster, m Elizabeth Bach. Children: Frederick b 1885 d 1955 Rochester, labourer, teamster, milk man, m Bertha Winkler, child: Clifford C. Leonhard Johann Carl (Charles) b 1890 d 1941, milk man, m Lucy Erhman.
Verona NY

0 Heberle 2005. 4 Heberle 1870-2002.

Arthur A Heberle b 1877 in Verona Mills, the son of Christian and Salome Ungerer Heberle. He d 1952 in Oneida. In the early days he worked in Rochester, where he was a motorman on the street railways. He m June Wheadrick of Verona Mills in 1907. They lived in Rome for 7 years where he was a motorman in Rome street cars. In 1921 they moved to Oneida where he operated a farm and also served for many years as a watchman on the New York Central. They had 2 sons, Milton A Heberle of Rome and Warner C Heberle of Verona.

Milton A. Heberle, 93, of Vernon, d 2003. He was a member of the Nortrip Masonic Lodge, Minoa, NY. Survived by son and daughter-in-law, Christian G and Donna Heberle of Minoa, 2 grandchildren, Alyssa and Ashley Heberle.


Elnora H Heberle d 1986. A native of Vienna, Mrs Heberle lived in Verona since 1951. She retired as staff attendant after 14 years with the Rome Development Center. Mrs Heberle was a 1931 graduate of the teacher training Dept of Morrisville College. Surviving her were her husband Milton A and son Christian G of Minoa and 2 grandchildren.
