am following the path and following all the vows and being a

A> Babaji: "Sister, when you are ready for Naam you will automatically
know it. There will be a pull from inside to take Naam. Have patience
and you will get it one day."

11> A man: "Babaji I have heard that it is a once in a lifetime

opportunity to be initiated by you rather than from one of your
representative. I was initated in the US from your representative so
does that mean that I have lost that opportunity? "
A> Babaji: "Brother, by initiating you by the Will of the Master you
are moulded to follow the path. Do you think that I would have a magic
wand that I would do some magic during the initiation that the
representative did not have. It does not matter as long as you get
Naam daan by the will of the Master. This is the reason that I have
stopped giving Naam in the Satsang Ghar in Beas. People then compare
and say that I got Naam in 'Sachkhand' you have got it at some other
location! Naam has the same value and power irrespective of the city
or place that it is given. You have to follow the things that are
expected after receiving the Naam. It is you who has to follow as
taught to you after getting initiated."

12> A man: "Babaji I was told that by doing SEWA even by a seeker it

helps in reducing the load of the KARMA."
A> Babaji: "Brother, all such things are just to sugar coat the
reality. Sewa does help in creating an atmosphere but it will in no
way help in eliminating your karmas. If that was the case then you all
would have paid your karma today after the Sewa here. It is only by
meditation that your karmas can be eliminated and you can

13> A man: "Babaji, my wife is a satsangi and I am not. I do not

follow the path but I want to help her in doing what she is doing. I
know that it takes a lot of time. Today for the sewa and then satsang
tomorrow and I know that there is something like 2 and half hours of
meditation every day!" (Laughter in sangat)
A> Babaji: "Brother, if you want to help your wife, you can do the
household work that she handles." (Laughter in sangat). "I think that
you should respect your wife's decision to follow the path as she is
respecting your decision."

14> A man: "Babaji it seems that since the day I have been initiated

and after my practice I have gained some power within me."
A> Babaji: "Good, then why don't you wear the robes of a sadhu so that
people will bow to you and offer you everything. You can be famous by
travelling to the different parts of the world. You can take my seat
here and I can then take a seat in the audience" (Laughter in sangat)

14a> "Babaji, I went to a pub on night and I was telling the bar

tender about this path. He gave £5 and asked me to never come to his
place again."
A> Babaji: "This is really inspiring. You go to such places and preach
the path. I think we should start calling you "Pub Baba." (Laughter in
sangat)

14b> "Babaji wherever I apply for a job I am being called for the

interview now. In the references section I always write Radha Soami
and this could be the reason."
A> Babaji: "Brother you should not use the name to gain worldly
things. You can always talk to the people about this path and Radha
Soami if someone wants to know as to why you are refraining from
eating meat or other things. But please do not use this name to gain
some materialistic things of the world.

This is what I remember. The words are not the exact as spoken by

Babaji. This is what I remember and my interpretation of the session.

ABAJI'S SPIRITUAL DISCOURSE : NEW DELHI
(Sunday, 8th Oct. 2006)

Sunday, 8th October 2006 –

Today Babaji gave Satsang in Punjabi for about 1.5 hours

(We don't know why Babaji didn't give Satsang in English yesterday

which He always gave earlier, we are trying to find the reason behind
cancellation of the same)

They took a Shabd of `Swami Ji Maharaj' today which was about the

importance of Meditation

1. The Saints come to this world to bring us to the path of

Spirituality and to make us worship Lord but, after they leave this
world we forget their real teachings and start making temples, start
worshipping their photos, etc. and forget the real purpose and
meaning of Spirituality.

2. We go to the places of worship like Temples, Gurudwaras,

donate money there, publicize it and want our names to be carved on
the pillars there, this is not real donation, donation should be such
that your left hand doesn't know what your right hand is giving.

3. Going to Temples, Church, lighting candles there is not real

worship, these are symbolic things, these candles and bells point
towards the light and sound which appear during Real Mediation.

4. We have not understood Spirituality as yet, we take it

superficially, we do not go deep inside to understand its real
meaning and significance but, follow it as a ritual. Even when we
come to Satsang we come as a ritual, "karvahee daalne aatey hain
yahan, humein iski real value nahee maloom."

5. When you come to Satsang but, do not understand or follow it

then it wont be of any benefit for you, it will only become like
other religious practices, nothing more. When you come here you
should try to understand as to why do you come here and what is its
real meaning and importance.

6. If a student goes to School and touches the feet of his

teacher, notices what clothes the teacher was wearing, how he looks
like, etc. will he learn anything? He will learn something only when
he follows what his teacher teaches him and also studies regularly.
Similarly, if we come to Satsang and just notice as to what clothes
the Master is wearing, try to touch His feet, etc. we will gain
nothing. We will learn something only when we understand His
teachings and try to follow them too.

7. We always say that we will do Bhajan and Simran when

everything is alright, but, the question is that if everything was
alright then there would be no need of Bhajan and Simran. We need to
do Bhajan and Simran so that everything becomes alright. Do we go to
the Doctor when we are well? We go to Him only when we are sick
because, then is the need to go to him, there would be no need to go
to him if we were fine.

8. We can do everything regularly but, when it comes to Bhajan

and Simran, we always say "Kal kar lenge", "We will do it tomorrow",
but, the truth is that tomorrow never comes, whatever is there, it
is "today", no one has seen whether "tomorrow" will come or not. "Woh
kal kabhi nahee aata."

9. When you do Bhajan and Simran, you should understand its

importance and do it, if you do it only for formality sake it becomes
a ritual.

10. Today you are young and can sit for long hours and do Bhajan and

Simran so do not postpone it for the future, do not give excuses that
we will do it when our kids will get married, etc. because, then in
the old age your health will not cooperate with you and you will not
be able to do it much, so start from this young age itself.

11. During Bhajan and Simran you always complain ke "mann nahee

lagda", it is only an excuse. Mind has no power of its own, it is you
who have given it the power. If a kid keeps asking you for something
or the other and you keep giving it the same then he will be spoilt
and it is you who will be responsible for that. The moment you stop
fulfilling its wishes it will come under control. It is you who have
spoilt your mind and it is you only who have to control it now.

12. One cannot control the mind by force, rather forcing the mind

can lead to reaction. Mind is always after something or the other, it
has many desires, it will not give up those desires until something
much better is given to it. Until and unless you attach it to `Naam'
or `Shabd' it will not give up worldly pleasures at all. If you have
some pennies in your hand and someone asks you for them you will not
give them away at all, but, if someone gives you gold coins in return
of the same then you will automatically give up pennies and take the
gold coins. Similarly when you give a much better thing to the mind,
i.e. `Naam' or `Shabd' it will automatically leave the pleasures of
the world.

13. We need to be patient on the path of Spirituality because, it is

a long and slow path. The results of Meditation are not immediate
therefore, one tends to get discouraged. But, the reason for this is
that we have been here for many years and have done many Karmas, so
until and unless all of them are washed out we cannot experience
Spiritual progress. When a utensil is dirty it needs to be cleaned,
if it is a little dirty it gets cleaned up soon, if it is too dirty
then it takes time to clean it, but, if we completely leave the
effort to clean it then how will it be cleaned? Similarly we need to
be patient and give time to our Meditation so that our Karmas are
washed away slowly and gradually, if we leave it completely then how
can we expect to progress on the path at all.

14. We try to follow the physical form of the Master, try to touch

His clothes, feet, etc. This is of no use at all. If we do it then we
haven't understood the meaning of Spirituality at all. Body is
temporary whether it is of the Master or the disciple, both will end
up in the cremation ground. The Real Guru is `Shabd' and the Real
disciple is `Surat'. The physical form of the Master is only to guide
us on the path of Spirituality, what is real is His Shabd form which
will actually take our soul inside the inner realms. We should pray
to Satguru and request Him to show us His real Radiant form "Guru
mohe apna roop dikhao".

15. Babaji narrated the story of Saint Bulleh Shah. Once there was a

function at the house of Saint Bulleh Shah and he invited his Guru
Inayat Shah to his house but, his Guru sent a representative to
attend the same. When his representative went there the relatives of
Saint Bulleh Shah insulted him and when he went back to Inayat Shah
and told him about it, he got angry at his disciple Bulleh Shah.
Bulleh Shah came to know about it and went to his Guru Inayat Shah,
dressed as a lady and danced in front of him, Inayat Shah recognized
him and said "Tu Bullah hain?", Saint Bulleh Shah fell at the feet of
his Satguru and said "Main Bullah nahee Bhulla hain mainu baksh"

16. We have too much `Ego' in us, we forget that we are only

small `drops' of the `ocean', we are not ready to merge back to
the `ocean', we are more attached to our own identity of being
a `drop', the day we are ready to merge into the `ocean' it will
clean all our dirt and we will become clean and pure.

17. We should be like beggars at the door of Lord, we should ask for

forgiveness from Him, make humble request to Him to shower His mercy
and grace on us, then only we can progress on the path of
spirituality, we cannot do it ourselves, we can only make an honest
effort, rest is in His hands.

Today i want to share some of the hilarious ques as asked in sydney
to BABA JI.The answers givn by BABA JI was such tht all the sangat
was so happy nd those momemnts become unforgettable nd make me feel
happy after thinking tht again.

Again ,m sorry if i will nt be able to replicate that exactly as

those were.

Ques. Baba Ji will You please play football with us as I came to know

that You played it in England with a family.

Baba Ji- Smiled nd said that i am already playing a game of football

with all of you.You guys are throwing all of your responsibilities
towards me.nd Me is throwing towards you.Let's see who will do the
goal first.

Ques- Baba ji,sab ton pehalan main tuhanu tuhade bete di marraige

diyan vadaiyaan deniyaan chahanga.

Baba Ji- Kehre bete de gal kar rahe ho tusin?Mere taan saare bache

hun.Har roj kise na kise de shaadi hunddi hai.Kis de shaadi de
mubarakbaad de rahe ho tusin?

Ques-Baba Ji,before asking You any question i want to tell You is

that I am very afraid of.

Baba Ji- Sister why r u afraid of.It should be me who shud be afraid

of.I am finding myself in the same situation as if some CSI team is
taking a interview of one person by bombarding a lot of question
towards him.If i am not afraid of then why shud u.So ask ur ques
without being afraid of.

As Baba Ji was in sydney(Australia) ,so many of the persons were

forcing Baba Ji to give them permission to eat some prohibited
food,like fertilized eggs,the products abt which we do nt knw whther
there is egg in tht or nt.

But Baba Ji replied with a big "NO" to all of that forcing.Example is

like such....

Ques-Baba Ji it is very difficult to cope, when we travel from one

place to another in planes to get a pure vegetarian diet.What shud v
do thn.

Baba Ji- Bhai Sahib, its not so difficult as u said.Nd if that

situation occurs by chance then u shud travel without eating
anything.U r not going to die in 24 hours of ur travel if you have
not eaten anything.

Ques- Baba Ji tusin mainu buht sohne lagde ho.Mera dil karda hai main

tuhanu dekhdi rahan.Main ke karan.

Baba Ji- Beeba tuhanu us anderle saroop de darshan karne hun, eh

Dreams are only dreams. they have no reality. They are just the
working of our sub-conscious mind. They reflect only what we have in
our sub-conscious minds. They are not within our control. We should
not attach any importance to dreams ortheir absence. We sould try not
to give meanings to them. Just enjoy them as if they are plesant and
ignore them as if they are unplesant.

before seeking Naam because it may create complicatins. There is
however, no harm in praying to the Almighty for his Mercy and Grace
every day. No words are required for a prayer if it orginates from
