'I think you have received the news of Abu Ubaidah ()?' They said: 'Certainly O Messenger of Allah! We have heard it.' He then said: 'Rejoice…'(Ibn Majah) *Of the manners one should uphold when given a glad-tiding is that he should make Sujood (prostration) out of thankfulness to Allah. It has been authentically reported, that whenever the Prophet () was given news which made him rejoice, he made sujood for the sake of Allah.' (Abu Dawood) *If a woman is proposed to by a pious man, it should be said to her: 'Rejoice.' It is narrated in the collection of Abu Dawood that Zaid said to Zainab: 'Rejoice, the Messenger of Allah () has sent me to remind you.' (Nasa'ee)
