JOUR481 Literary Styles in Journalism

To meet satisfactory journalistic standard, a story should answer the `so what` as well as the who, what, when, were, why and how. This course will concentrate on the investigative journalism and encourage students to notice details on various issues, and to ask questions that will elicit details. Students will learn and practice how to choose a subject for investigation, how to find the sources, handling information and writing it for the media.
