m16761 This liaison inform us the FPDAM text of ISO/IEC 15444-1/AMD 4 Profiles for broadcast applications. Answer will be provided with the progress of new amendment to MPEG-2 to carry it. Summary of technical discussion related to this liaison is as follows:
JPEG 2000 broadcast profile amendment is used as basis (ISO 15444-1/Amd 4).
Access unit, profiles/levels defined in 15444-1/Amd 4.
Systems will define video sequence and video ES.
Support for still and motion sequences.
STD model is same as MPEG-2 video. STD buffer size specified in the transport standard.
Annex S will be added to specify description related to carriage of JPEG 2000 including buffer parameters.
New stream_type and descriptor added. Stream_id will be same as MPEG-2 video (0xE0).
Program Stream may not be needed at this time.
WD 1.0 at this meeting with plans to go to PDAM 5 at next meeting.
