5.5.1.1.1.1.1.1.1JCTVC-H0294 YUV4:4:4 test sequences for screen content coding [J. Cao, K. Zhou, S. Wang, T. Lin (Tongji Univ.)]
At the moment, we do not have 4:4:4 encoding capability. However, it is highly appreciated to have such sequences available. Tongji Univ. (T. Lin) indicated that they were willing to donate their source video test sequences to the public domain, and would upload a revised contribution to state this explicitly. The original contribution contained remarks about copyright availability that appeared suitable for our use. A question was asked about potential underlying content rights, esp. for sequences depicted in Figs. 2 & 4. Pending clarification or revision of the test sequences to omit some material, we would not use those two sequences.
5.5.1.1.1.1.1.1.2JCTVC-H0389 New Class E videoconferencing source content [W. Jang, J. Boyce, D. Hong (Vidyo)] [late]
New source video test sequences were submitted and demonstrated as candiates for replacement of our current "Class E" test sequences (due to artefacts in the prior Class E sequences). Vidyo (S. Wenger) indicated that they were donating their sequences to the public domain and provided a revision of the contribution to clarify this.
It was agreed to replace our current Class E test material with these sequences and put them on the usual ftp site, along with a note of this public domain status.
