The most interesting listening test results can by summarized as:
HE-AAC V2 discrete channel coding has better performance than VC-32 (32 kb/s) at the 95% level of significance.
VC-32 (32 kb/s) has better performance than PLII (128 kb/s) when considering only the mean score.
Juergen Herre, International Audio Laboratories Erlangen and FhG, commented that it would be very interesting to see the performance for other test items, perhaps with varied statistical and sound stage properties.
The Chair urged Audio experts to communicate with the presenter during the MPEG week what additional information the presenter might bring to a future MPEG meeting to address questions raised by the group.
