Different Kinds of Muslims?
As most people will be aware, there is great unrest around the world today, with terrorism growing and in almost all cases now, the terrorists are Muslims. Governments and the political correctness of today’s societies try to play down the significance, even to the point of denying that there is any connection between the atrocities carried out and Islamists. It’s a tough sell, when Mr. Jihadist shouts “Allahu akbar” before blowing himself up along with a group of innocent people!
So the Governments (predominantly Western), the media and various Islamic agencies try to persuade us that there are different segments to Islam. They say that there are “Extremists”, “Radicals”, “Moderate” Muslims and Muslims in name only (non-practicing).
They tell us that the Extremists follow a twisted and perverted version of Islam, which bears no relation to the “true” teachings of Islam, which they say, are peaceful.
Then there are the Radicals, who we are led to believe like to follow the strict teachings of Muhammad and the Law of Islam. You could equate them to their opposite number in Israel with the Orthodox Jews in the way they approach their faith.
Then there are the vast majority of Muslims who seemingly fall under the banner of being Moderate. These are the Muslims who follow Quranic teachings, go to Mosque on a Friday and generally adhere to the teachings of their faith. This could be the family next door who you see as being friendly and just get on with their lives.
Already we can see a problem with this description, because the Radical readily becomes an Extremist as we have seen certainly in Britain the USA, Australia and European countries in very recent times, with the apparent amazement that “Mohammad Such-a-body was such a quiet unassuming man, with no signs of extremism”, yet he went out to a night club, armed to the teeth and killed a whole bunch of people.
What we see is that even so called “Moderates” are also becoming Radical and then Extremist. This seems to throw a “spanner in the works” and shows that there is a great deal more to Islam than simply the perversion of a perfectly harmless religion [sic].
So there is a difficulty in accepting this viewpoint as it is far more complex than a simple three (possibly four) tier structure. This is a totally simplistic viewpoint and is actually completely false. The reality of life as a Muslim differs considerably depending upon a number of factors, one of which is the country in which they live.
The Purpose of Islam
The Quran teaches that all Muslims have a sworn duty to spread Islamic belief and influence to every corner of the world. One could say that this is the same as Christianity as evangelism (spreading the Good News) is a requirement.
There is one fundamental difference however. The Quran makes it abundantly clear that anyone who refuses to convert to Islam must be regarded as someone who hates god (Allah) and as such they are not just heathen (infidel or “kafir”) but are given a choice of the following:
-
Pay “Jizyah” – a crippling monetary tax.
-
Live exiled from all (banishment)
-
Remain and be put to death
Over the centuries since the formation of Islam, this has been the way of spreading its influence. Countries have either been attacked and forced to accept Islam, or they have been overtaken by a slower migration of Muslims until their population has grown to effect significant political influence.
Since the last of the Crusades, Islamic influence within Europe has been minimal, with the exception of the final rise of the Ottoman Empire (Turkey) during the 19th and 20th centuries. (6) Unrealised by many, this upsurgence of Islam was yet another attempt to create the required Islamic State or Caliphate which they hoped could eventually encompass the whole world.
Having begun as far back as 1299, the Ottoman Empire was finally defeated and then dissolved by 1922, with various involvement of European countries, Britain and Russia.
Over the last century, there has been a new development in Islamic methods of spreading their religion. If you thought they had given up, then you are much mistaken. Having spent some 1400 years of spreading Islam via violent means, and always being repelled by Christian (Western) society, it became apparent to senior figures within Islam that in order to achieve their ultimate goal, a totally new approach would be needed.
Both during and since the end of the Second World, Islamic fundamentalists have been at work to create a resurgence of Islamic influence, and this would be achieved by aligning with similar minded political orgaisations.
One famous example of which is the controversial figure of Muhammed Al Husseini, who came to prominence during the 1920’s. (7) He was a Palestinian Arab from Jerusalem. He served in the Ottoman Army during World War 1 and went on to become Grand Mufti of Jerusalem in 1922 (President of the Supreme Muslim Council).
Later during the 1930’s he would continuously petition the new National Socialist leader of Italy, Benito Mussolini to gain favour and have Palestinian Muslims join forces with the Italian National Fascist Party. Having been constantly ignored by Mussolini, later Al Husseini turned to Adolf Hitler, and gained a great deal of support and cooperation from him and his National Socialist (Nazi) Party, largely around their common interest in the destruction of the Jews.
Unfortunately for Husseini, the defeat of both Italian and German fascist movements in World War 2 meant that any alignment with them was destroyed. He was arrested and highly sought after for trial by various countries as a war criminal, eventually escaping captivity by the arrangement of the Muslim Brotherhood. He was later granted political asylum in Egypt.
It is at this point (the late 1940’s) that figures such as Husseini collaborated and began their new strategy for the spreading of Islamic influence throughout the world. This would be accomplished by deception and infiltration into Western Societies in order to gain positions of power. The evidence for this is overwhelming (but is beyond the scope of this study). Suffice it to say that an organization called “The Muslim Brotherhood” has been a worldwide instigator of such actions, as well as being directly and indirectly involved in terrorist activities. But they are not the only ones.
This “stealth jihad” is what the Americans call “the long play” as it has been ongoing now certainly since the 1940’s. The discovery in 2004 of The Muslim Brotherhoods plan (in writing) to take over the USA showed the lengths they were prepared to go to. The document in question was a clarification document to explain in detail of how Islam would take over the country. (8).
If you visit the site in question, you will notice that this document was entered as evidence in a court case:
The document was entered as evidence in the 2008 Holyland Terror Funding Trial. Federal investigators found the document in the home of Ismael Elbarasse, a founder of the Dar Al-Hijrah mosque in Falls Church, Virginia, during a 2004 search. Elbarasse was a member of the Palestine Committee, which the Muslim Brotherhood had created to support Hamas in the United States.
(See Appendix 3 for selected pages from this document)
You will notice that this document is dated “1991”, which shows just how long this plan has been in action. If you take a look at the USA today, you will see that Muslim Brotherhood and other Islamic organisations have gained positions of power in the highest places. Their plan is still in action.
There are also those who don’t want to wait for the “long play” and opt to try to reform their Caliphate by force in a shorter time. This is why we have the existence of Daesh (ISIS/ISISL) Al Quaeda, Boko Haram (Nigeria) and the Mori groups (Philippines) etc.
The point I am making here is this. The old method of conquer the country to spread Islam allowed them to take over Spain and parts of France and Italy, as well as much of North Africa and the Middle East. They were repelled by the European Crusades (another very misunderstood part of history) which allowed European countries to stay largely unaffected by Islam for many centuries.
Those methods of violence were part of Islam. Taught by Islam as the way of Islam. Nothing has changed. Those today who are called “terrorist organisations” are using the Quran as their guide. They are not using a corrupted and twisted version [sic] but simply following in the way of Muhammad, as he did it 1400 years ago and his followers continued to do it for many hundreds of years after him.
I merely scratch the surface of Islamic activities around the world. I know that there will be people who read this study and say that these are just the activities of a “few”. My only answer to that is that there are 1.4 billion Muslims in the world. If only a “few” are responsible for such things, then those few are several million Muslims around the world, determined to convert, take over and kill, and it is the Quran that provides the blueprint for those activities. All “extremist” Muslims are simply following the example of their “perfect man” [sic] Muhammad, which is a very far cry (actually totally opposite) to the message of Jesus. That alone should tell us something important.
