FVWRMP - Phase II: The Tajikistan Fergana Valley Water Resources Management Project - Phase II will build on the achievements and lessons learned from the first phase. The project aims to improve the quality of irrigation service delivery in the project area by (i) rehabilitating irrigation and drainage infrastructure, (ii) strengthening the institutional framework for irrigation and drainage management (including the newly established Irrigation Agency and WUAs), and (iii) supporting water sector reforms to improve the financial viability of irrigation. The project will, on a demand-driven basis, pursue farm restructuring and will help farmers take full advantage of the restructuring by switching to production of higher value crops.
