Livestock Sector Development Project: Livestock Sector Development Project The Project Development Objective is provisionally to improve the provision of infrastructure, services and finance to the livestock sector in the project area. The Project will include four components: Component 1 Livestock and Veterinary Services Improvement; Component 2 Access to Finance; and Component 3 Pasture Management Improvement; and Component 4 Project Management. Component 1 will finance the development of:(i) state and private veterinary services and implementation of disease control strategies; (ii) livestock breed improvement and (iii) improvement of extension services and integration of smallholder livestock production into the livestock supply chain. Component 2 will finance a credit line to the commercial banks for the livestock sector. Component 3 will finance the improvement of pasture infrastructure and management and strengthening of pasture related institutions. Component 4 will finance project management and operating costs.
