Article 10

Procedure for the Appointment of a Professor

1. The theses of the lecture to be read in the Scientific Board of the faculty and the conception of the proposal for the appointment of a professor, elaborated in compliance with directives of the Ministry of Education after the procedure conducted at the faculty are passed by the Dean to the responsible Vice-Rector.The applicant presents five of his/her most significant works or documentation to them to the Scientific Board.

   The procedure for the appointment of a professor at a meeting of the Scientific Board of the university contains
   

1. 
   election of vote-counters
   
2. 
   presentation of the applicant by the Dean of the faculty or an authorised Vice-Dean
   
3. 
   presentation of the proposal of the Evaluation Board by the Chair or a member of the Board authorised by the Chair
   
4. 
   lecture - presentation and debate
   
5. 
   closed debate of the members of the Scientific Board
   
6. 
   voting by ballot by the members of the Scientic Board
   
7. 
   report by the vote-counters
   
8. 
   making the result public immediately after the meeting of the Scientific Board
   
   
   

3. The proposal for the appointment of a professor is submitted by the Rector in compliance with Directives of the Ministry of Education by the date stated for the following appointments at the latest. .

Article 11

Releasing information on habilitation procedures and procedures for the appointment

of a professor

1. 
   Release of information on habilitation procedures and procedures for the appointment of a professor is governed by Article 75 of the Act.
   

2. 
   At the Brno University of Technology release of information is defined by Rector´s Regulation No 38/1998 – Scientific documents.
   

3. 
   Information on habilitation procedures and procedures for the appointment of professors are published in the Information System in compliance with the Regulation on the Information System.
