N/2x2N paired with 3N/2x2N or 2NxN/2 paired with 2Nx3N/2: Having two areas that are different in size – cases referred to as AMP, with 2N equal to 16 or 32 for the luma component.
TB: Transform block (luma or chroma), a luma or chroma block of a TU, with a size of 4x4, 8x8, 16x16, or 32x32.
TU: Transform unit (containing both luma and chroma), the level of the residual transform (or transform skip or palette coding) segmentation within a CU (which, when using inter prediction in HEVC, may sometimes span across multiple PU regions).
