Dear B Dhinsa
Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002 (FOISA)
Request for Information
I refer to your information request received by the Council on 29 March 2009 in which you ask for the following information:
“ I would be thankful if you could provide information as to how many employees SLC currently has on a salary which falls between spinal column points 44 and 67 on the local government pay scale and also the numbers between scp 68 and 73.
Also, if you would be kind enough to indicate how these figures compare with those of 10 years ago (or as far back as you hold records).
I would also be interested to find out how many of these positions will be lost as part of the current cost saving exercise”
The Council can give you some of the information that you have requested. The details of current staff whose salary falls between spinal column points 44 and 67 and the numbers between scp 68 and 73 are shown below. These are actual staff numbers, not full time equivalents.
SLC now pay staff using hourly rates, not annual salary, however we have equated these hourly rates to the salary scale you are referring to.
