PUNK ROCK UPDATE

-They’ve blocked all the scenes

-Running them again

-Raff: the cast are great!

-Meeting Charlie House about a trailer

-Have tried Caff Paff, Wild Lime and Mango, and emailed Gandhi

-Advice is to go straight into the restaurant and ask; try Mango face to face

-Rob: it’s not essential sponsorship, so if it goes tits up don’t worry

-Depending on how Mango goes, try Aero Taxis

-Raff’s Dad is waiting for Charlie House to send him publicity stuff

-Cast need to be off book this week

-Emily is coming in to make everyone cry (crying workshop)

ANIMAL FARM UPDATE

-Right Fliss has taken over and swore (this was fun to edit..)

-JV: animal farm have a cast now

-WOOO

-JV: Me Charlie and Ilsa nearly died

-Anand was too fine on the audition desk… not that he wasn’t sober…

-The fresher’s all think he’s cool and he’s loving it

-Anand actions are being discussed involving revealing himself in public places

-59 people auditioned Jesus Christ

-That’s 59 new freshers if they all stay, and loads have asked for feedback so super keen people yaaay

-Readthrough this Sunday

-Really happy

-Serious serious serious talent and serious keenness

-Charlie: ‘And we have a tony award winner’

-He refers to Mark Strong, the first year law student cast as Napoleon

-Charlie thinks he’s funny.

-Charlie maintains this is because no one is intelligent enough

-Rachel: how regularly do you want show liaisons?

-Charlie says they’ll organise that, but please come to read-through

-Which is confirmed that is after 6pm

-Gonna rope all the freshers into seeing Godot cause everyone’s in it so they should



FINANCIAL UPDATE

-Been a quiet week

-Paid Will Hankey for Godot NSDF

-Owe Hankey for Instaprint too

-TG technically has one member – Rob himself

-It turns out the system is shit and loads of people have paid membership so this needs to be sorted

-Signed up TG for Circle Pay

-Rob will figure out how it works

-People talking about how the Circle app works and I’m bored

-Kaus owes money

-Apparently Kaus does not owe money cos there was some fuck up

-Okay, Kaus does not owe what we thought, but he does still owe £30

-Mike still owes £15

-Rob still has the Rita money

-Fliss has some money too
SOCIAL UPDATE

-Wednesday was good

-Flora should live tweet socials

-Showstoppers are having their ball on the 11^th December so we’ll do the Playzone thing on a different weekend

WORKSHOPS UPDATE

-Dan the Stage-Combat-Man doing his Workshop on the 23^rd October, 11-3

-Capacity of 40

-Dan doesn’t want to do the workshop in Bar 2

-Em will try and get The Cube

-Ideally get the MPS

-Workshop got last week cancelled due to confusion over pitches

-Future pitches not on Monday pls because workshops

TECH UPDATE

-StageSoc Health and Safety tomorrow at 6pm

-We get to dick around with lights yay

-There was an Animal Farm issue but it’s all good now

-The university booked out the green room for one of our performances

-30/40 sign ups for StageSoc this year which is real cool

WEB UPDATE

-Something about Semantics and Meta data. Yeah, I don’t know either.

-Blog is finished

-Fliss: basically, things look pretty

PUBLICITY UPDATE

-Ilsa will be publicising Godot

-Ilsa is gonna do an “interview” thing for a preview for the first blog post

-Emily: StageSoc lighting/sound training is next week. WOULD BE REALLY COOL IF WE CAN ALL GO TO THIS.

-Anand: Hubbub are affiliated with the university and I chatted to them about crowdfunding for things

-Was used for Dogfight in the past, but definitely is a cool thing

-Anand: I’m getting my head shaved for Waiting for Godot and I was wondering if I could claim it off TG

-No, Anand.

-Kaus: apparently any committee member of any society can get free entry to Oceana all year. Just so ya know.

-Comedy Secretary Ciaran Madeley presents us his Oceana card in response to this

-Fliss: Gem is organising a massive theatrical group social for Halloween apparently

-Fliss: Rachel put Fliss is contact with Creative Writing President and they seem keen to do stuff
