Carboxylic Acids Adsorption on Carbon Nanotubes
In this thesis, first the equilibrating durations of malic acid, acetic acid, formic acid, acrylic acid, and propionic acid with little carbon nanotubes were determined.
Beginning concentrations of the acids, whose equilibrating durations have previously been determined, were changed; thus, it was calculated that while beginning acid concentration increases, the efficiency of adoption decreases. After, the adsorption efficiencies of acids at different temperatures have been studied, and it is found out that temperature increase is inversely correlated with adsorption.
With the study results, adsorption isotherms for each acid were shown on diagrams, and the appropriate isotherm type was determined. It is determined that while propionic and acrylic acids suit to Freundlich isotherm, malic acid, acetic acid and formic acids suit to Langmuir isotherm.
