Applicatıon For Istanbul Universıty: EYOKA
In this study, the importance of alumni and their contributions for alma mater was researched. The alumni systems, as national and foreign samples, were also analyzed in order to understand their preferences. The importance of the study was literaturally reviewed. It was emphasized that universities needed alumni follow-up system in order to get information about their alumni. Thus the alumni follow-up system, EYOKA, was developed for Istanbul University.
The alumni follow-up system was developed as a web-based application because of improvement of new technologies. In this study the advantages and extensity of web-based systems were also discussed. Because of those advantages and extensity, Web based automation system is the most convenient way to bu,ld-up such a system.
The developed application was modeled using UML. It was shown that system’s working structure via application work steps and screenshots.
Establishing a connection between Istanbul University and their alumni and students is expected as a result of this project. Also it was provided that event announcements emitted by the system in order to can be strongly the connection.
